I have regrets man. What a literal kick in the balls.
It truly was my pleasure meeting ya and hanging out a few times!!! Your a great dood!
And for the record, Brian sent me a walleye pic a beer pic and a supper pic numerous times daily while I was at work???
I found that hilarious but im just glad you had a great stay, got on some fish and found a great place to do it!!!
Hopefully "next time" comes sooner rather than later?

Lets not turn this into a gun thread.
Horrible situation smh.
Thoughts and prayers to the victims/survivors of senseless violence.
A sad day indeed

Frozen is fine, we'll thaw them before we brine them.
Those northern lakers are not as terribly fatty as the ones down here, if memory serves me. But in general, the smaller fish are better.
You do own a smoker, correct?
Doug
Yeah they arent as fatty.
And yessir me gots a smoker?

Put some lakers aside and we will do them up when I visit!
Geez Ill have to check the regs. I could head up the next few days to lower manitou if its open.
Are they okay to freeze first?

I hear ya lucas.
Lots of people just dont know when it comes to pork. Its sumilar to chicken or turkey imo. I want it cooked, but juicy. And everyone seems to cook all that away.
pork steak is a bit tricky, you got maybe a 2-3 minute window to get it off in time and tent it.
We ate it all(boy was it good) and nobody died)

Its just getting better and better up here!(smallies that is)
Largies are brutal this year on LOTWs
Im on another forum that is more based in southern ontario and im pretty shocked how many people are eating limits of smallies and largies.
But thats probably nothing new

Probably booze or drugs, or testosterone...
People do dumb crap, myself included...
No excuse however

Wow can you shoot pictures!
Looks like an amazing time!!!

That's supposed to be good not bad luck.
Tie directly from line to bait, jig or hook. The least amount of terminal tackle the best. Trolling use the best quality and smallest snap swivel to your bait.
I bought my lottery tickets...

Im still waiting for a superbowl pepsi commercial where an aged Mike M. comes in as a footnote at the end of the commercial, grabs a pepsi and walks out of scene with a quick wink and a nod.
He is def. someone Id like to hang out with at a campfire for a few beers. He actually came out and hung out with the crowd between sets at the show.
I would die. Thats the best idea ever!!!

suicidal tendencies fans!!!!????
"All I wanted was a pepsi"!!!!

First met Brian quickly at the Emo in for a quick chat as soon as he arrived
A few days later we both had enough time for a quick chat over some cold ones, again, at the Emo inn
Apperently we think alike. Brian shows at my place for a visit and like any gentleman, brings a 6 pack of cold ones! Little did he know, I was already prepared and had bought us a 6 pack???
Brians arrives and we take a drive in the Ford to Rainy River First Nations (Manitou) and snap a quick pic to prove it. Time for a walk to the rapids and show him my bass spot?
Apon arrival we see our first fish! The might aurora!!! The timing couldnt be better...
???
This is a very sacred place. Posing at the "turtlehead" rock
The manitou rapids...
I had brought in a few lbs of smoked sturgeon for the boys at work. Since brian was staying at camp and met my driller, Walter, I sent some for Brian to try
