Hello.
I am wondering if any is/have had TMJ? or know?
Would you have any quality doctor around GTA that knows TMJ very well?
Your help would be very appreciated.
Thank you.
What is TMJ?

I would think that your dentist would be the best place to start. He can then co-ordinate specialists if needed.

Thank you for sharing information on your chapter's outing. Great to see young'uns learning good information from the MNR, OPP and Transport Canada. Teaching them young will go a long way for our future fisheries.
A job well done by Belle River Musky Canada club.

When I first joined this board (not that long ago) it seemed that everyone would try to offer up some good advice on particular fishing questions. This served as a good information exchange. I was a contributor to it on both sides, asking and giving. I would also join the occasional debate. However, I am very disappointed with the last couple of questions I asked and even more disappointed with the useless non fish chatter and cheerleading that goes on while people who are looking for help get 1-2 meaningless responses. Case in point, "Simcoe vs. Georgian Bay", a legitimate question got 3 responses of little value, while "What is your first car" gets 86, sorry 87 now responses. When someone posts a picture of a fish, the accolades come out, "way to go", "great fish", "fantastic", "wish I was there", "you are the best", "I love you",.......etc., etc., etc., but if that same person asked for some advice, he or she would be lucky with 1 reasonable answer and not just a dumb comment.
Seams that the board now serves as a chat message room for a small group of people who go to Lakeair once a year and do what they do and not people who wish to exchange info on fishing topics, looking for advice or as important offering it.
To those who have helped me over the last couple of posts, thank you. To the rest, remember what this board is supposed to be about.
Now I am going fishing.
Sorry you feel that way. So if you're not happy here, don't let the door hit you on the way out, and turn out the lights.

No excuse for NOT having the required/mandatory safety equipment on board. Zero tolerence is the position being taking this boating season. This topic, safety equipment required and licensing regulations have been discussed ad-naseum on this board. Use the search engine and learn something.
My advice QUIT YER WHINNING, read the regulations that have been linked her several times. Before you leave the dock make sure all necessary equipment and documentation are in your boat.

My Mrs and I were just talking about an early fall camping trip to Lakeair. This would work for us.

Kevin & Leslie, we didn't make it this year, but will next year. Diane and I extend our deepest sympathies about the passing of Leslie's Mom

Very well said Rick. I've missed the past couple of years because of various family health issues, maybe next year.

Well, I downloaded and activated the new Firefox and I am very impressed. I am currently subscribing to Rogers Ultralite internet service. This FF makes the ultra lite seem very fast. I'm going to stick with it, and start learning the add ons.
Thanks for sharing Rick

Not being a computer geek Can it be explained to me why this is better than the current IE that is on my machine?
If I install or download this new version, what will it do to my current applications etc.
Thanks

That would make sense... but this is directly off of the Services Canada Web:
"The Pleasure Craft Licence is free of charge, and is transferable to any subsequent owner of the vessel. The licence must be carried on board the vessel at all times. However, a licence is not a title document. Operators must also carry other documents (such as a document that establishes ownership) to help avoid delays clearing U.S. or Canada customs, or in case of a fine."
I could see if I was crossing the border, but it looks like proof of ownership must be carried in case of being asked for it "in case of fine"?
The pleasure craft licence (a copy is sufficient) is all you need in your boat. This IS the document that the police will ask for when they stop you. There are no more free rides and if you do not have a copy on board, you will be fined.
Sometimes, too much is read into the "gobble de gook" that gets written in the rgulations.

If it the Gibson Lake I'm thinking of western edge of Muskoka, then it is on first nations land, and you may need to speek with the band leaders to seek their permission. May only be a smiple matter of respect, but worth it in the long run.

I bought my first boat and I have a question about the license number. The old owner has just painted the number on the front. I’m going to change it but there is no ON for Ontario before the number on the boat or on my license papers.
Should I add the ON on the boat? I`m unsure because it’s not on the papers either
I added a pick of my ugly 16 ft. sea nymph with a 60 evanrude its not on the water yet its taking a lot more work than I thought
thanks

Did the person you bought it from provide you with the original registration, bearing the number on the boat?
You take this form and proof of purchase to the closest Service Canada office and transfer the registration into your name.
http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/en/sc/boats...surecraft.shtml
Once this is completed, you must carry a photo copy of this NEW registration in your boat at all times. Failure is very $$$, like about 300 of those.
You will also be required to register the trailer in your name, the seller should have given you the registration and the licence plate, (unless he was planning on using it on another boat). When you register the trailer the MTO will collect PST & GST, hopefully you have the bill of sale with a low $$$ for the purchase.

pick up a small porta-pottie, and your set to go. It was my wife's idea to buy one.
The only time she is reluctant is in November when she has to remove three layers and a survival suit.

Just wondering which bait caster reals were easy to use for someones first time using them. I am a long time fisherman but never really had the urge to use one until this year. Any suggestions?
Cheers.
Mac
There are so many quality reels on the market, it is hard to give just one. Go to any number of quality stores like BPS, Gagnon's, Tightlines, JBs Fishing Depot. Hold the reel in your hand and make sure it is comfortable in your hand. I have my preferences, but most of the reels I prefer are ones I grew up with. Buy the best you can afford, don;t cheap out you will regret.

"Riding Shotgun" on road trips usually ends with someone's feelings being hurt. I didn't know that there are a set of established rules covering this.
Light humour, enjoy

.......young men from the farms, small towns and cities through out Canada, USA and Britain, answered the call and gathered in England, to break the iron grip that Nazi Germany had around the throats of European people.
These young boy/men, would eventually become our fathers, uncles, grandfathers and mentors and went on to form the Greatest Generation, and in the process created the greatest countries.
They passed onto their children the responsibilities that freedom and democracy must be defended always. Today our troops are carrying on this tradition.
If your grand dad is still with you, ask him about his experiences during that time, and thank him for the many sacrifices.
If you see an older gentleman driving and his licence displays a poppy, smile and wave and thank him if you can.

Question:
I am in the midst of selling a boat.
On the back of the original Licensing (Registration) Form ( from the dealership ).....it mentions the Vendor must notify the customs house of the change in ownership. Does this still hold true (is it the vendors duty or the purchaser's) or have things changed since I bought the boat 8 years ago?
Thanks for your help,
Meely
Meely
There has been a few changes, you sign the back of the form, fill in the purchasers name etc, then the purchaser takes the registration form to a Service Canada office and transfer the boat into his name. It is also manditory that you have a copy of the registration in the boat.
Can't help with the serial number.
