  1. It seems to be a sporadic problem, happening in only some areas.I applied on line for my outdoors card and 1 year, non ontario residents licence, and had it in 3 weeks(outdoors card)

I printed the licence from thier website.

It does eem like a overly complicated way to acquire the proper permits though, from a non residents standpoint.

    Paul

I just love how the MNR treats us non residents.Renewed and received my new outdoors card rather quickly but unlike Ontario residents the 3 year stamp is no longer integrated on the back of my card.No we non residents

have to carry an outdoors card that is useless unless we produce a paper with it as well.Someone is obviously a complete idiot.I called up and complained about it but that is the way it has to be.

$10 extra for a card that is useless.Who ever thought this one up should be fired :asshat: really.

Previous years my card was exactly like an Ontario resident with 3 yrs stamped on the back of the card.

  2. I'm involved in the printing ink industry and it is dead slow, plants moving to the states, existing manufactures with layoffs and a shortened work week. Where I used to be able to write my own cheque, now fumbling to get 4-5 days a week.I guess somewhere in the middle would be ideal.Hang in there it can only get better.

Know how ya feel DB I left the printing business last year after 24 yrs.So much has changed technology has taken over.

Books being printed in China not to mention you can down load books and read them on your iPad .

It sucks but the world is changing.

as for Brian something has to change where you work bud.

  3. Why settle for only 360hp and only 380fps torque @4250 torque when you can get a Toyota Tundra that has 381hp and 401fps torque @3600....and no chance of a shutter at any speeds....just something to think about if your diving in with both feet for a new truck.

Billy Bob the new F150 with a 3.5 ecoboost 365Hp and 420lbs of tork will blow the doors off the Toyota with much better Gas Mileage. The 6.2 litre is another option with plenty of power and torque. Both can out tow Tundra. And the 5 litre Ford is rated for more pulling pounds.

I saw a video on youtube an F150 drag race against a Toyota Tundra.Yes the 5.0 litre lost by a couple of truck lengths but thats the third most powerful engine out of 4 options.

Tundra Maximum towing is 10 300 lbs the F150 5.0 is rated for 11 000 lbs; ecoboost is rated for 11 300 lbs .

Now I know you have a great truck as I like japanese Vehicles myself. As my Honda Odyssey Minivan is 12 yrs old and still runs great but Ford is one automaker that has evolved and there quality has improved drastically.

I bought a 2011 Ford Taurus Sel last year still in Love with it.Zero problems after 62 000kms and amazing fuel economy on the highway 8 litres per hundred at 100kph 33 miles per gallon and the car weighs over 4200lbs .

Now your Tundra would be a perfect Truck if they just made the Gas tank a little bigger. The downfall for many owners.

Now have you driven in a Ford lately

  4. It was a great event I bought some good Quality fishing Tackle.

Sure was a pleasure to meet up with many familiar fishing folks.Sort of a relief as the winter is starting to come to an end. :Gonefishing:

Curious to try out the new Umbrella rigs.

Also a Pleasure to meet you finally Larry.

    Until next year.

  5. Thanks for the feedback guys.

My only concern with this vehicle is possible replacement of the batteries. I'm just not sure if that will be an issue or not. If it is it's expensive.

Under normal circumstances I'd go with a gas vehicle every time. I'm looking at this one solely because the price is so ridiculously cheap I can't afford not to. No way would I ever pay normal market value for a hybrid.

On a side note it seems everything's going to hell in a handbasket lately.

Since we've been back from Cuba my washing machine died, my furnace is not functioning properly and needs repairs, the new water heater started leaking, both computers in the house are fubar, and to top it off our car is dying (hence the search).

I kid you not every day it's been something else. LOL!

Mike there are owners with 12 and 13 year old Toyota Prius the still have the original batteries.

  6. Well this is what I got in the mail, I assumed all would get the same. Sorry to get your hopes up :(

Well you won't believe this one called the MNR today they tried my city several times on the website until they figured out what was wrong.

Can't use a dash or period for St-Hubert.

Had a conversation with my Friend GlennK he received the outdoors card absolutely no 3 yr tag on the back.

He called back inquired why.It seems they have a glitch in the system So now we have to carry our outdoors card around and the piece of paper we print from the MNR website.

I called and asked the same question and yes this is what I will have to do.

So I am charged $156 out of resident plus an extra $10 for an outdoors card that is useless and now I must also produce a piece of paper as proof of my 3 yr renewal.

Now let me get this right this is because I am from out of province like Billy Bob has said.

SOMEONE AT THE MNR IS SMOKING WAY TOO MUCH CRACK.

    :wallbash:

  7. Well go to renew my fishing license tonight for 3 years as always.

In the past renewed online without a problem very easy.

Not this year the site says my city is Invalid. So have to call Service Ontario tomorrow.

I hear I am not the first to have problems with this website.

Oh well have no choice back to calling to be left on hold for long periods of time. :wallbash::dunno:
