  1. We don't have a BPS here but I have had the pleasure of shopping there what I liked was the enormous selection of lures and gadgets that I would have never found elsewhere.

I give most of my business to the little guys I like tthe personalized service and sometimes the sales guys will let me in on some fishing spots. We have Le Baron .and Baron sports would we our bigger stores. We are supposed to be getting a Cabella's this spring.

I would'nt drive around and waste five bucks of gas to save 2$ on an item.I like service thats what counts for me. :santa::thumbsup_anim:

  4. Well I just came in from the worm hunt +6 degrees here in Montreal. I managed too scoop up 8 juicy crawlers in about 25 minutes. Its alot harder to spot them when the front lawn is mostly brown.2 teenagers walked by my front lawn as I was picking up the crawlers .Boy did they ever think I had some lose screws 'I could here them laughing at me all the way down the street.

Some one pinch me or slap me.December 23rd and I just gathered some worms.Going for some trout in the morning.Yes there is something wrong with me I have fishing disease.

I will let you all know how the fishin goes.Mike :dunno::blink::Gonefishing::Gonefishing::lol:

  5. Snag don't give up on Quinte. You will hit the right day.I have been skunked there before 4 days in a row in october not even a perch.2 full days in winter again skunked. Its going to happen hang in their you will be posting the big ones soon.Thats fishing in the BOQ when walleyes decide to shutdown its reality.Good luck on the next trip.Mike :dunno:

  6. Yup they work well. on two ice fishing trips with my buddies we retrieved a Rapala filet knife and a pair of pliers of course it was easy for us we could see the botton from the inside of the shack the items were 20ft down and the horseshoe magnet was about 5 inches be 4 inches. We also caught about 20 steelheads

  7. I think five will do a nice job but a 9.9 would be better.Go with a four stroke so you can run off your main gas tank this way you will not require an extra tank on board.I am running an 8hp kicker with an 18 foot Lund SSV which is plenty because my boat is quite a bit lighter than an explorer. The reason I would go bigger just in case you have a breakdown or worse you severily damage the prop on your motor.A larger kicker will allow you a little more push in choppy conditions if ever needed to get you back to shore.I manage about 8mph with the kicker wide open. You never know when you will need the extra hp.I notice a my boat will slow down about 3 to 4 mph with the kicker on board but I have a 50hp.The added weight of a 9.9 won't be noticed when your main motor is 115hp.Good luck with your purchase Mike. :santa:

  8. Well for me I missed out on some of the great threads some of you spoke about.

For me is when Dano lost his lovely lady avatar.
