  1. Nice pics and story PhotoZ my kids happened to look over and they really enjoyed the thread.Well while you were taking note of our fishing spots I was checking out your wonderful design of a rod holder and I'm thinkin what a great idea.I think those steel thick wire rod holders I own are now history; I am off to the work shop for the log rod holder special.what a design.LOL :thumbsup_anim:

  2. I got a brand new rod and reel from the wife for xmas 5 yrs ago.A shimano Bob Izumy. after only the 2nd fishing trip in may I pull it quickly out of a protective carrying case and the rod gets hooked on a piece of overlapping material and snap it went.I never told the wife :(

  3. Nice report CCMT.A 15 pounder wow! :thumbsup_anim: I am still trying to go over 11.8lbs. :worthy: 20 years without fishing where were you behind bars.LOL :dunno: If I was you CCMT I would avoid going to the boat show this winter you may end up signing for something like fishnin Devil  I hope you have more reports hidden away.Mike :w00t:

  4. I would thank fisherman Glen .Just press the link in his post and you will see the demonstration in the video. The control seems to be located on the tiller handle. My BF50 has one up and down control just below the motor cover.I also have a switch loacated in front of my seat for trimming when running at high speed. It all depends on what year the motor is.My is 2001.Find out from whoever has it for sale what it has.good luck.Mike ;)

  5. Well Glen you have made the right choice I myself have a Honda BF50 with power trim .I had a quick look on the Honda website it says it can be put in any position but this could be optional.I am not sure if this feature is available in tiller model.Check out the specs on www.hondamarine.ca. 6. I'm counting down the years when I can ditch my 2000 Honda Odessey for a Ford F150 4X4 but for now I have to keep it I"ve got 3 kids 8 10 and 12 .When I had my Taurus Wagon which like you had to part with last year. There were nasty fights going on in the back seat.So now they all have their own seats and their not fighting too much. When I launch my boat with any paved ramp it is very easy but when I 'm on a gravel launch I tend to spin alot.Darn front wheel drive add a liittle tongue weight to the rear and the front wheels spin too easily.Nice Pathfinder.

  7. Was out picking up some things yesterday I took the time to price snowblowers.Yardman 8hp at canadian tire $997.00.Thats what I paid for my 10hp 4 winters ago. They have jumped about $200 since then.

Over at Home depot.Murray pro series with a sturdy steel chute .8HP 27 inches wide $1021.00.

The 10Hp 30 inches wide $1197.00 Tecumseh Motor. :santa: No provincial sales tax this week.

  8. Believe it or not that tree is standing up again perfectly staight. But I will be chopping it to half the size .Snowing heavily right now.My situation was not as bad as others. Those pics of the tree on the car looks really bad. with all this global warming we are sure to see alot more freezing rain this winter.

  9. That is one nasty turtle it could replace the Doberman guard dog at home.

Reminds me of when I was a kid my parents took us camping in Peterborough some where .I think it may have been lake Scugog but I am not sure.It was a shallow lake well known for its Muskie fishing. So I was ten years old fishing from shore doing the Pan fish thing and wam I think I am stuck I reel in with all my might and a turtle appears above the water and he is snagged in the front paw.He decides to go back down in the water and starts pulling me in.This had to have weighed 20 to 25lbs.So the stupid kid that I am ,I would not let my rod go no way I was not going to lose my rod. I'm getting dragged in the water. So I started screaming for help but it took awhile before a man came and helped me he unhooked the turtle and saved my rod..Man you should have seen me I was ballin my eyes out.I wouldn't go fishin until the next day .I wonder if the guy who helped me is still around .This was 31 years ago.Mike :worthy::worthy::worthy:
