  1. I use a wide mouth plastic water canteen with a screw on lid. I bought a cheap one from a grocery store and never had a single drop leak. The only issue is it can be difficult to grab the minnow/grub with your fingers so i use my pliers to reach in. i think i paid $2 for one.
  2. Nice Fish. Sounds like a great time. How did your new set up work out?
  3. there used to be a free launch right at the mouth of the gan river beside the gan inn (i havent used it in 10yrs). Also, the marina beside the Gan Inn probably has a launch for a fee (the name eludes me at the moment, Gordons?). 40 acres is about 5-10 min from "downtown" Gan. depending how fast your boat is.
  4. That didn't take long to replace the revo. haha. You will be very happy with curado especially paired with that rod. Enjoy
  5. thx for the responses. i have my eye on a calcutta in the future.....hmm....i just got my hst check.
  6. Is there any huge disadvantage using a low profile baitcaster such as a curado or revo versus a calcutta when fishing for muskies other than line capacity? Also, will a large muskie peel off more than a 100yrds of line? I am thinking of using my curado (50lb braid), a 7'-6" flipping stick and tossing in line spinners and large minnow baits. Your thoughts Thanks
  7. Hello all I want to introduce myself being new to this forum. I have visited this site in the past and find it well managed and very informative. I enjoy fishing for all species with a focus on bass and steelhead. I have read some amazing postings and hope to share my experiences (including pics) with you. The past few years fishing has been very limited due to my young children, however my boy will be 3 this summer and I can't want to take him out! Good fishing everyone.
