  1. Thank you Steve. I think I know that spot between the 2 lakes. I've stopped there to let the kids fish perch under the bridge. Good to know that you can get up into Isaac from there are well. I'll give it a shot on Sunday.
  2. I've been wanting to get out on Boat lake which is North West of Wiarton but I'm not sure where the boat launch is. Anyone care to share the location?
  3. They also have a Fenwick rod and a Abu spinning reel.
  4. http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/5/SportsRec/Fishing/RodReelCombos/PRD~0783309P/Rapala%252BDownrigger%252BCombo.jsp?locale=en Are they worth it as a decent starter rod and reel for trolling in Lake Huron? Any other suggestions?
  5. So what kinda trouble are they going to give me when I bring an old boat from our camp in New Brunswick with no papers and want to register it? Can I go in and say I have an old boat that was never registered but I would like to bring it all up to date now?
  6. I have, well had, a nice ultralight set up with a Pflueger President 6720 on a 5'6" Bass Pro Extreme rod. Well it broke on the first fish I caught with it. I only had it a short while and would like to return it for another but of course I can't find the receipt. How have you found their customer service for this type of situation. I realize they don't have to honour the warranty without the receipt and it's my own fault for loosing it but some places are a little forgiving sometimes.
  7. Very nice!
  8. I have 2 presidents and absolutely love them. That is a good price. I think the regular price is 69 at BPS.
  9. Looks like a fun project to try with the kids. Imagine how excited they would be to catch a fish on a bait they made themselves.
  10. Tiny spinners are the way to go! I've been using Blue Fox Vibrax for years on all species of fish. I caught that nice steelie in my pic on a #1 Mepps. If the weather wasn't so bad today, I would be out there throwing spinners for brookies. Oh well maybe tomorrow.
  11. Our family likes to camp up in Tobermory quite often. There are always lots of bears around there, especially at night.
  12. I thought I should say hi. I've been lurking here for quite a while now. I live and fish mostly in Bruce County. I'll attach a pic of a recent catch.
  13. That's a great story! I'll have to start planning a trip for me and my boys. I believe someone told me that you can bring your own small boat but must be less than 10hp. True?
