Hit up the Ganny a couple of weeks ago after a good rain checked out the river on my way home from work to see nothing but black due how many salmon were in the river. I ran home grabbed my fly rod and ran back to the river. Using brown body and pink and orange head eggsucking leaches I was able to hook fish after fish. Fishing along the seams of the fast water I was able to hook into a few little Jack's and 2 very nice coho which were by far the catch of the day!!

Fly fishing the Ganny!

Went out on Monday for some bass on Rice and had a good day as I was able to boat a few nice bass and one nice smallmouth with some nice spots.. As well I've been out on the Ganny for the salmon run.. check out da pic's

My friend Matt and I went out to serch for some river smallmouth on the Trent River last night. For the last little bit I've had great luck on my top water mouse pattren for smallies so I had it tied on with a 8 pound floro for a lead. I had just laid down a nice long cast I believe it was my second cast when bamm a huge smallie comes leaping out of the water and misses my fly both Matt and myself just look at each other and were stoked. I made only a few more casts when a smaller smallmouth came up and took my fly under up with the rod tip and fish on. He put up a good fight for his size we took a couple of pictures and away he went. Then it wasn't 3 minutes after that I made another long cast and stripped it in once and bamm I knew right away it was a good fish. Not having much line stripped in I was able to fight this fish with the rod and reel it was sweet. Again pictures were taken and it was let go. Matt as well got a couple of nice fish and all in all it was a great day on the water.

yeah it does look like a white sucker rather than a cisco. And no pictures of the catfish not a big fan of the Cat lol! He never got in the boat just got the pliers and unhooked him in the water.

Check out the walleye!!!

Went up to 3 Mile Lake for a week with my GF and I was able to get into some good action. I ended up catching every species in the Lake the only species I didn't catch by Dropshotting was 2 walleye I hit on a crankbaits, which were were brought back for a good lunch. Just as I was about to cut into the bigger walleye I looked in its mouth and it has a sunfish that it puked up had to take some pics of that lol. I did most of my fishing in a bay called Hammel Bay witch has a huge drop off it goes from 3 fow to 20 fow. I got a lot of smallmouth at this spot I was using 3 inch shad minnows as well with a owner shivertails. I also got a 18+ cisco dropshotting and a huge catfish. As well I had my fly rod on board and I was able to get a few bass on it as well witch is always fun they hit my top water mouse pattern.. here are some pics!!!

I mostly use poppers as well with crayfish patterns and minnow pattrens I don't use nymphs or dries but I should cause I know they would work as well with wolley buggers bass love leaches as well with walleye. here are some pics of flies I use.. The mouse pattren is tied on 2 hooks but the first hook is cut and braided line is attached to both hooks so now it swivels sorta walk the dog action.
