How about one of these Japanese 4x4 imported from Japan . I seen this one in N.S. this summer . The guy had 5 models , honda , mitsu , Toyota and 2 subarus but they all are pretty much the same 4x4 ,800cc . This Toyota model was a little different with the wheels of a side by side and a camoflage wrap . He has sold quite a few including a bright lime green model that is driven by an 80 year old man with a grin from ear to ear . The older gentlemen brags that it is the best vehicle he ever had as he also takes it out on the atv trails and says he can go where ever the atvs go . They are about the same width as a side by side and are road legal . You wouldn't use these special wheels on the road obviously but you can change out to the road wheels very quickly . These vehicles are obviously not for everyone but it is hard to drive by them without having a look .

My wife went through a long struggle with Crohn's while giving birth to 2 healthy and great kids which are now 16 and 20 years old . The picture of your daughter reminds me of my wife 25 years ago . She got as low as 80 lbs at times but being the strong person she is she would move on without a complaint . She ended up getting a Colostomy around 8 years ago and is now living without the pain she probally endured for years and for the most part her life is back to normal . A colostomy is probally an operation that most Crohn sufferers do not want to think about but beleive me the quality of life for the patient will improve dramatically . A month ago we had the MM Meats fundraiser and seen another great turn out from the community . All the best to your daughter and if she ever has any questions or experiences that she needs to share with someone going through the same lifestyle , my wife is very supportive .

GSP- MIR ( if he can dodge the keg sized fists and get in close) ... Too bad Alves is out. I was thinking Alves vs Fitch would be the fight of the night. I agree , the Alves and Fitch fight would have told us alot . You gotta love our Canadian Boy , his work ethic and abilty to keep focussed with all his success , a true champion . There is alot of good compitition in his weight devision , alot of talent on the way ( ANTHONY JOHNSON )and alot of talent that he has already defended . I think that as long as his head doesn't get to big ( which I don't think it ever will ) and he and the Greg Johnson camp stay together , he will be a champ for along time . He takes every opponent serious now, and trains as hard as any true champion and ambassador to the sport . When you have the best teacher and student in the game it will be hard for someone to beat . I was in a bar in Cobourg for his Fitch fight and people were yelling GSP during the entire fight card starting at 10pm until his fight at midnight . It was a great atmosphere , espically with the champion being from Canada and living just a few hours down the road . It seems like every time GSP fights he looks bigger , faster and has something new to offer , I wouldn't be surprised if he has been working on his punch power as it would be quite fitting to see him "knock out" the "knock out artist" just to show everyone how complete a fighter he really is . Go GSP Go !!!!

I just recently applied about owning a Matrix , which I would recommend . In Barrie there is a GM dealer , Georgian Pontiac . Every so often they will buy a couple of hundred cars at an action and sell them quite cheap . Right now they have a bunch of Cobalts for sale at $8800 each . They are a year old and have the remainder of their long GM WARRENTY remaining . As much as I recommend a matrix ( I payed around 26500 tax in , almost 8 years ago ) and feel that it could easily go 400,000km with alot of highway driving ,it is hard not to look at one of these Cobalts at $8800 that are a year old . I think that they bought 250 of them so you'll have a good pick . They have also bought Gran Prix's and Impalas in the past and they sell them for half price and they are all 1 year old with warrenty . My friend bought an impala for over $30,000 new 9 years ago and said that he got another impala a few months ago at Georgian for around $14,000 , 1 year old . Check their website . They do alot of advertising on the local radio stations in Barrie when they purchase large lots of 1 year old GM products . Doing the math they are truly deals that are hard to beat .

I have a 2003 Matrix XR bought in Sept.2002 ,240000 km , owned for almost 7.5 years . Radio replaced under warrenty years ago , did the brakes at 100000km and havn't touch them since . This was a first year Matrix and I will admit to paint chip problems , espically around the windshied and back hatch also an ongoing rust stain running from a rear door handle . The car drives very good still , the front end still feels tight ( all original ) everything is still original other then tires and the brake job . I would recommend a matrix with 4 winter tires and wheels and your'll have a great little car for the summer and a fun little tank in the winter . Winter tires are needed as the oringinal tires are wide all seasons and will not work in slush ...at all . Also the Matrix is a little taller so the driver can see more then ie - a civic . The driving position was a little hard to get used to , which could have been corrected with telescopic steering but I don't notice it anymore .

I actually haven't seen or heard about her for over a decade . Her performance was awesome , even for a guy like me who grew up listening to Aerosmith and Zepplin .

QUOTE (fish_fishburn @ Feb 14 2010, 06:34 AM) They should of thrown a moose in there somewhere along with a few beaver shots, Not trying to stir things up here but I thought that KD Lang's performance "Woke" the interest in the event and for me her voice and performance was far and away better than any other part of the opening . A true Canadian symbol .....albeit minus the beaver.

Thanks for all the responses . It's nice to hear what people have found to actually work for them . I have heard about a few of these machines but not all of them . It's all great info. Thank you !

I would be looking at used and would want to be able to break trail in 4-5 feet of ungroomed snow . I would think that 4-5 feet should be the approx. upper limit north of Tamagami . I was hoping that a ski-doo touring longtrack 377 / 440 / 500 fan cooled would be good enough as it could also be used for trail riding and are not too heavy . But having said that I would lean toward the utilty side more than trail riding . Thank you

Would like an opinion on which snowmobiles would be recommended for using in deep snow , non trail applications that you would find in northern Ontario or Quebec . If you were to snowmobile into an isolated area ,making your own trail and wanted to be able to get back out without too many problems , what would be a good sled in your opinion or experience ? Thank you
