  1. Hey Mitch, May I ask what news you heard Dave Phillips on? I would like to hear his breakdown. Thanks, Terry
  2. Hey Skipper, where do you do your plowing? I see you have some blowers on the tractors, must be in the snowbelt area. I'm guessing Barrie or Midland area.
  3. has not set their status

  4. Hi, I left you amessage yesterday. Did you receive it?

    Thanks,

    Terry

  5. Hey all. I am looking to see if anyone is interested in joining my team for salmon fishing. I need someone who wants to fish tournaments at a competitive level. We fish the King of the Lake series, Great Toronto Salmon Hunt, Tightline Tournament(Bluffer's), three Whitby Derbies(lots of fun)and the payeverydayderby. In between tournaments there is lots of pre-fishing. I have all the gear including boat. We are based out of Whitby Harbour where the fishing is fantastic. If this sounds like you, drop me an e-mail and let's talk.
  6. Keeping big perch of that size does not help the fishery in terms of reproduction. Those females are prime spawners. It is best to let them go and keep the smaller ones. The huge decline in perch numbers on Lake Simcoe is for that reason. Ask any biologist. Nice fish though.
  7. Again, this is a fishing site the last time I looked. Maybe you should also try a redneck website. I am sure you would get more people that would love to discuss this topic and others as well.
  8. This is a fishing site. Please direct your hunting concerns to a hunting website. Thank-you.
  9. Nice catch of fish. Hopefully the 45 gal drum comes off the ice before spring. Don't know what's cool about seeing a dead animal though. Just my thoughts. Again, nice fish dude.
  10. West of Hwy #11, east of the bridge. I think. Thanks Dan and Roy. Terry
  11. The hunt camp is just west of the gas station on the south side. He inherited it from his uncle Harold. Terry
  12. Hello everyone. My brother is going moose hunting for the next ten days up at Smooth Rock Falls. I was wondering if anyone here knew of the place and also where to start if he was to go fishing? He is the only fisherman out of the hunters at the camp. So he could use all the help he could get. Also, is there snow up there and are the lakes starting to ice up? Thanks very much, Terry
  13. Hey young one. Did you break them off or just lose them? If breaking them off, try using fifty pound braid with a 12 pound flourocarbon leader. If just losing them, use bigger hooks and give a firmer hook-set! There's alot of fish kicking around. With light rain in the forecast right up till Friday, should be loaded there by the end of the week. C'mon weekend!
  14. Lots of salmon being caught in the river and harbour. If we get the rain they say, they will start running and bring in more fish.
  15. This area tends to be quite shallow. It gets very dirty from all the waterfowl. Great place to birdwatch. No parking signs everywhere. Not good for kids because of the high volume of traffic. The pier at the mouth of Whitby harbour is a better choice. Pike, perch, carp, just lots of room and people watching too. Try Oshawa harbour as well. Good luck!
  16. For the record, if those are walleyes that deep, every fish caught will die from being brought up from such a depth. Not good for the fishery. Terry
  17. It is called marine carpet. You can pick it up at most Home Depots. Make sure when you install it, you glue it and staple it. I re-did my princecraft five years ago, still looks brand new. Terry
  18. Hey Tony, remember me? If you are the same Tony, count me in. I bought the rods and reels off you in the winter. I have been salmon fishing out on the lake the past five weeks. Fishing has been really good. Could have used some extra bodies to help land and fight fish some of those days. The fishing was so crazy. All tahat was missing was beers and girls.(lol) Anyways, I'm going out again this weekend off of either Bowmanville, Whitby, Bluffer's or Port Credit. It all depends on reports from my friends. Take care, Terry P.S., let me know where the "swill" will be.
  19. The observer gets to ride on a different boat each day and learn everything they can about salmon fishing. It is alot of fun and a worthwhile experience. Pays off if the boat you are wins! Also, you make alot of new friends and fishing connections.
  20. Hey guys and gals. Sorry about the short notice, but, I need a observer for the weekend. It is a weekend for fun and learning how to fish for salmon and trout. Please let me know. Expenses will be paid and fun is the operative word. The tournament is out of Port Darlington(Bowmaniville). Terry (905)686-9444
  21. Hey Gerrit, just go down to Oshawa Creek with copper, you will see how the fish bite!!! Have fun!!!!Lots of fish with very little people! Terry
  22. Hey guys, did you check the regulations on eating those fish? You might want to see if that many are edible or edible at all. Could be filled with contaminants. Good luck. Terry
