  1. I will post a full report including lots of pics tomorrow...too tired right now. Was a pleasure meeting both Vinnimon and Spincast (Vince and Rick)...always a great time with Lloyd, the amount of fish hooked, caught, and some released was bonus. Glad it was you that brought up the being late and dropping the keys, Vince, LOL!!! Things happen for a reason sometimes, and, Juli looked at it as the chain of events that led to her catching her PB Chinook today.

Heading to bed, big report tomorrow, while some fish is on the smoker!!!!!!

  2. If gas is 75 percent tax, how can they charge 8 percent on the whole works for 8 cents a litre? Should they only tax the 25 percent that is not taxed already? That would have only raised the price per litre about 2 cents.

Excellent point!!!!!! Once again, our government gives it to us, and, we bend over and take it!!

  3. Kawartha Guy, PM me I'll give you a list of free Launches on Scugog.. but I wont tell you wich one he is fishing infront of unless I have his permission

Thanks, fish-meister. Go ahead and tell him in a PM. I debated blanking out the background, but, after thinking about it said what the heck. All I ask from people that fish there is don't abuse it. I have a self imposed limit of two walleye, plus the slot is in effect. There are plenty of crappie, perch and sunfish for a great fish feed!!

  4. My favourite part of that game was how the ENGLISH commentators constantly kept mentioning how the 2nd England goal was not counted and then they stop mentioning it after Germany went up 3-1 :ninja:.

LOL...I must say they do a great job of commentating, and, keep any bias they have at bay overall.

Forgot to say in my first reply, nice vid...good mixed bag of fish!!!

  5. Yes, everyone has a right to their opinion. This is however a fishing community. No one enjoys being harassed every time they take the time to post a report. If you don't like the catch limits, have them changed. Don't come on here belly aching about seeing pictures of fish on a fishing board.

Please keep this in mind the next time you post.

    :thumbsup_anim::clapping:

I am sooooooo sick of seeing people getting beat up for posting pics of fish they have kept.

Going out with Vinnimon, Spincast and Lloyd on Saturday. Darn right I'm going to keep a few for the smoker and a fresh fish dinner!!!

    Sturgeon Lake Kawarthas

    Walleye numbers down

After weeks of MNR creel inspections all reports show that no walleye have been caught on Sturgeon Lake.

The top Ten Walleye Tournament series held their Kawartha lakes tourney on sturgeon and not a single walleye was brought to the weigh-in

This is has never happened to any tournament in the world till today.

Rumor has it that Big Cliff caught all the walleye last year and there are none left as he can attest to..

MNR scientists claim by July 5, 2010 this will turn around and he will catch a walleye...we hope

    a fake MNR News Release

    LOL sorry

Holy crap, I just LMAO Terry!!!

Cliff, man, I'm feeling for you, keep doing what your doing. You will get a walleye, probably break the slump with a crazy numbers day!! Good luck, man!!!!!!!!!

  7. Unfortunately I didn't get a tape measurer on her before her release but I'm 6'3" and from a rough measurement after where I had her placed while I was removing the hooks, she was between 50-53". She took a perch coloured grandma at midnight in the full moon on the French River, one of the best fights of my life to say the least! We had been trolling up and down a current channel for walleye doing quite well for a few hours when all of a sudden the bite just completely stopped, and we figured there must be a big musky in there spooking the walleye, so I rigged my musky gear and first pass WHAM! and she came right out of the water with a huge jump.

    Cheers,

    Matt

Nice...still looking for my first 'ski, hopefully soon!

  8. Thanks guys! I can't say enough about how awesome the day really was.

A charter trip all comes down to the captain. Lloyd is a amazing guide, host and friend. He's the one that made it all happen, so full credit and praise goes to him. We just reeled up the fish!

Good stuff!!!!! Lloyd is great out on the water, takes care of his people, knows his stuff. I'm watching for the next opening for salmon/trout!!

  9. ^ So, your at it again eh!

Should we be again, waiting for your cavalry to come rolling to give us a long winded reason why these legal fisherman should be expected to justify themselves to you.

Talk about no making many friends! :blahblah1::wallbash:

It's not even worth wasting time on...Congrats to Jet and party on a great fishing morning. Way to go, Lloyd!!!!!!!

  10. im thinking about going out there this weekend since everyone else will be all over most of the lakes for bass opener. just wondering how the bite is. i used to fish Caledonia a lot with my dad. he loves channel cat fishing so he would always be across the bridge and above the dam, while i would wade out into the dam and fish there, caught some big eyes there.

anyways haven't fished it in years just wondering how it is. we also used to fish down river from there in "york" i think? slower moving water, a few islands between splitting the river up. never fished dunville however.. if i could get some insight it would be greatly appreciated.

If you haven't already, check out Fishmasters site, or PM him (he is on this board). Steve has a shop and launch right on the lower Grand in Dunnville. Should be able to provide all the info you need.

Good luck (not a bad idea getting away from the bass mahem that opening weekend will be!)

  11. Finally got the boat out a couple times this month. Targetting walleye and musky on Scugog. No luck yet getting that first 'ski, but, have caught walters everytime out.

Weedbeds, weedbeds, weedbeds in about 5 to 8 feet of water.

    Couple of pics...

Lots of crappie, perch and a few OOS bass (quickly released) as well.

  12. When the Ministry decides to stop allowing anglers to fish for trout during their spawning season, I may take heed of your words. But at this point, I find it rather insulting that you are asking folks to release their fish caught in Lake O, while you are standing in a creek fishing for spawning fish. What makes one more right than the other?

    HH

Very good point!!! I would have no problem with closing the inland rainbow trout season from January 1st to June 1st. It's a shame that this post has turned into another one of these wars. Let's just congratulate them on a good "lawfull" catch.
