Haven't made it to the Cambridge one, yet. I'll try London if they don't have any. Thanks!

Still a fish Vince! Get those big ones next time!

Nice showing, and, pretty cool that you got to fish it with your "old man"! Good choice on the Jitterbug

Out on Dalrymple Saturday fishing for Bass trying out the new Braided line with a Senko tied on. Pitching said Senko on weedlines and I get a hit I give it the ole 3 count and set the hook hard well let me tell ya this 6 inch bass comes flying out of the water and hits me 6 inches below the belt line and drops me to my knees, man did that hurt.
Jock straps for Bass fishing??
I'm surprised I haven't seen a Bill Dance blooper like that!!

The Blackcat, 3000 BTU model with the rotating arms. I also got mine at Liquidation World.
Thanks!! I'll check it out.
-
I also use it in my two-man frabill and it does a good job of keeping you comfortable even on very cold days. The adjustable angling of the unit is its biggest advantage, allowing you to point the heat where you need it most.
Which model, Jet??

I have (never get to use it as my son has confiscated it for his hut) a black cat and it keeps a 2 man hut toasty enough to fish without a jacket when it's all zipped up.
Might have to scoot over to the one in Cambridge at lunch tomorrow, see if they have any in stock. Thanks for the info!!!

Quick stop in at Liquidation World in Oakville today. They had a whole aisle of Coleman heaters and camping stuff. Blackcat, Sportscat heaters for under $40. Coleman plug in electric cooler, $45. 45,000 BTU heater head for a 20lb tank $29. A Procat 3000 BTU heater for $30. It was a bigger floor stand one than the Blackcat and it took 2 D cell batteries for a built in fan. Also had coleman lanterns and one of those pronae berner coffee makers. All really low prices.
Some good prices on the heaters, anybody out there using them in their portable ice huts?? Heater and an 8" auger are the two things I still need.

Have a great time, Terry!! Yeah, that Largie looks like a good one!

That's a great question. I was wondering the same thing for Guelph lake and Deer Creek, was going to call them up.

This will be my last go at this braid thing a lot of my buddies think I`am a little thick in the head for not liking braid, I won`t argue the thick part.
I think the last problem I had with braid may have been more of a spooling and or set-up problem, we`ll see!
The only complaint I had with braid so far is, when Spincast, Vinnimon and I went out on Lake O...I spooled up my Shimano Corsair with 30 lb braid, the stuff was like a spiny flea magnet!!

All stores, guys...it is in the flyer.

Although I am a die hard fan of plain ole mono CTC has the above mentioned line on sale for 40% off or 14.99 a box I am going too try this braid thing again!!
I was an old school monofilament guy as well, until this year...have really been impressed with Power Pro on my Arbor spinning combo, and, Cajun Red on my musky combo. Haven't tried Fireline.

Some real nice "HAWGS" with a bonus "gator!"

Those flies are a pain! Got a few good bites last weekend, didn't swell up, but, really red and itchy up until yesterday.
-
Now THAT is a string of bad luck. My old man's latest, was thinking he is still 20 (actually 74) playing soccer with one of the better halfs boys. Dove for the ball and just about put himself out of commission.
Good luck with the motor

Some really nice bass, Steve! Nice going, and good to see you making the customers happy, as you did with myself, Juli and the boys ice fishing. Can't wait (well maybe I can, enjoying myself on the open water) to use the hut this winter! Take care!!

Love my Legend, but, as everyone says up the horsepower on the standard package!!

Very nice, the $50 I spent on my Brinkmann is one of the best purchases I've ever made! Like the honey, idea, I usually use maple syrup.

Guelph Lake has some excellent small and largemouth fishing.
As Ryan said no motorized (gas) engines allowed. But that said I have seen people use there boats and electric trolling motor.
I use a canoe to fish it and have done well. Last time I was at the park I think they rented jon boats with electric motors. Does anyone know if that is still the case? That could be something to try if you don't want to paddle.
Ryan my evenings look good for next week with the exception of Thursday. Shoot me a PM if you want to head out somewhere, could even do Guelph lake.
I called last year (before I bought my boat) they do not rent the jon boats and motors...too many problems with the batteries.

Fantastic family report, Mike!!! The photos tell a great story, as they should. Really nice spot, the fishing is just a bonus, from the looks of it!
