  1. I had same problem. I am not handy but I youtubed it and did it myself. Nobody would come out to fix it - they wanted to do the whole roof.

I bought some climbing rope and borrowed a harness. Two hours and 100$.

Depends how atrep your slope is though.

thank you for suggestion, but it's too high for me to feel comfortable. I will do it myself only if wont be able to find somebody.

  2. Hi guys,

would like to get some advice about fishing Niagara river whirlpool . It's going to be my first time.

I do have 13'6 fl long float and spinning reel. I know that for float fishing pin reel is better, but because I am going first time and really want to try I decided to use spinning reel.

I would like to know what weight of float you are using? Also what is better - mono with fluoro leader or braid with fluoro leader? Planning to use 12 lb mono with 10 lb fluoro leader.

Also I heard that people using a small jigs instead of hooks - any recommendation?

    Thank you

  3. Made another trip yesterday. NO walleye or trout to be found. Got some smallies again, couple good ones.

I think I have to look for another lake with walleyes. If anyone can give me an advice in that area I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you

  4. Guys, thank you for information. I made my trip to loon lake today. Weather was not nice, but I still had a lot of fine catching smallies - nothing big though. Lost walleye close to the boat around 6 30 am in the morning.

  5. I spent half a day last Thursday fishing Balsam. Was trying for pike for couple hours with no luck. Went to do some bass fishing around island after. Fishing was pretty good. My father was cranking and I was throwing wacky worm. I ended up with 2 big basses and lost one huge one close to the boat. My dad got himself a nice smallie as well. Also we got a couple of dinks each. We spent 6 hours in total and got decent 5 fish in the boat.
