  1. Thank you Emil,

I do have CanaVac right now. Bought it 4 years ago from Vacmaster in markham. This place is awesome, custom service is the best. They helped me out couple time by replacing CAnaVac parts free of charge. Last month my power head gave up, so they fixed for $80. Closest vac place to me wanted to charge me 4150 for same work. I am looking for second opinion on those central vacs. For now I am still thinking to get with new model of Canavac.

  2. Hi guys,

I am moving to new house in the end of April and looking for new central vac. I used to have Cana-Vac, which is ok, but I would like to get any advices what might be better, quieter and best place to buy it from.

I would really appreciate any help in this matter.

    thanks

  3. Almost 2 years ago while fishing Simcoe last day of trout and whitie season slipped on ice and broke 2 bones in my right leg. Was fishing along during work week, so I had to wait for an hour for first vehicle on ice to help me to get to the shore, was 2,5 km away from it. It was worst bumpy ride to the shore on tailgate of tundra truck. Funny part that I was already going to my car with my limit when this happened.

  4. Hi Colin.

Fishing for whities and lakers without fishfinder is possible but in my opinion is a waste of time. To catch those fish you have to be on top of them and play them with electronics.

You can still do it, but it will be hard and might be really disappointing for you. If you decided to go - grab Williams spoons and bad boys jigs. Work them slowly on the bottom pounding the bottom from time to time.

    Good luck.

  5. I think I am going to spend some money on a GPS, but how do you like the 597 Costa? was looking at it, but got the cheaper version instead lol... :dunno:

I am really happy with this unit. I am using it year around - from early spring to late fall in my boat, during winter in my ice pack. Unit is simple and easy to configure. GPS with Navionics is awesome. Strongly recommend it.

  6.

You still go through oil with a four stroke. You are just changing it instead of burning it.

Most people change the oil at least once a year in a four stroke. That could end up being just as expensive as two stroke oil if you have low mileage on your boat.

    Fully agreed.

I used 2 l of amsoil since I got my motor. was fishing almost every weekend from May to October with 4 camping 4 days trips.

  7. Went from 25 hp 2 stroke 2003 25 hp Johnson to 30 hp 2 stroke 2014 Evenrude Etec with 6 years warranty. What an awesome motor - it is quitter than 4 stroke and taking less fuel as my body's 30 hp 2012 4 stroke Merc.

I would definitely recommend to check it out. Top speed is 25 mph for my 14,5 feet Alumacraft with 3 batteries, terrova and fishing staff. Fully loaded for camping trip with my wife it's 23 mph.

Also I got it from Big Bay Marina in Hamilton - best price I could find and unbelievable service.
