  1. Well after the show every year we get the same old complaints about the show but people still go. I don't think that for 12 bucks you can go wrong, what else can you do for that money. It's a great way to get in the mood for spring and fishing. You have all the reps and new products under one roof plus the odd deal along the way.

I agree with Rick on the mnr putting there personnel and money to better uses in the field. The cost of having a booth in the show is a waste then then to provide staff with rooms and meals while there would be a waste of needed money now to keep trucks on the road. Also they have hundreds of reps and stores out there selling licences for them so you can get them anywhere now.

    I'll be back.

  2. I came out only about 100 bucks lighter. Got a nice little soft side tackle box from LB's and 10 more mini power grip releases from Grimsby Tackle then renewed my OFAH membership while there. Other then that had a great day walking and chatting with all the ofner's and tackleshop personalities i've met over the years. They did have a few dealer reps there full of info for some up coming purchases.

  3. They listed all the shops in the area but to be honest I'm not sure who's selling bait this time of the year. Peterborough live bait might be the best bet as he wholesales to the area and he sells smaller baits also. I would give him a call and if he can't help you out he might be able to point you in the right direction.

    Good Luck

  4. The bite that happened just as the sun was setting in the horizon. First fish caught and released about 12 inches then the rest caught within 15 mins and then with a few to take home it was over.

All fish caught on a Green Mister Champ tipped with a minnow. I stopped in and got the minnows at Skevy's and he pointed me in the right direction to find the fish.

Sorry I didn't even have time to take pics on the ice as I was rushing to pack up before dark and didn't want to bother setting up the coleman lantern so I only got this one at home before cleaning them up.

  5. Lakers and we usually caught them on live minnow rigs on set lines. I lived on the west shore of the lake for a few years and I always fished that side, I never fished anywhere but off my property so I don't know how the bite was anywhere else on the lake.
