I think the best info you can get is to stop in Belleville at either Skevys and see Ron or at Carra outdoors and see Sam. They will both have minnows and lots of info for you on the recent catchs and plan your day from there.

I'm running a 2002 Suzuki Vinson 500 and never had a problem with it.

I've found the same thing as Richard with anything on the screen. It's almost like the lowrance absorbs it so I keep a little bottle of windex and a rag handy. Even rain drops on it can sometimes leave a mark.

I'm lucky I usually just leave it attached to the 4 wheeler. Sirfishs idea sounds like a good idea though.

Most of my action the other day there was after dark, especially with the full moon out.

Smart move heading home. Not worth getting hurt for fishing and especially on that stretch of road it can be bad like that often.

Winter has finally taken hold. I remember a few weeks back in the warmer weather everyone was saying it was suppose to be like that all winter, boy did that change fast.

Sorry to hear about your rough outing. I leave my helmet right on the foot rests of the bike so when I'm loading it they go right in truck at the same time. Personally I would have walked out towing the hut after going thru all that and got fishing.

Thanks for the report. Thats one thing on scugog you can hit those school of really small ones somedays. But there still fun to catch. I agree with the cold front slowing down the fishing.

I have a buddy that lives on the lake. I'll ask him about the fishing on monday when I see him again. My guess it bass fishing on the lake.

Thanks for the update Suds. I thought it was Bill on the phone the other day when I was talking to them. I've heard nothing bad about any of the operators mentioned here so I think he'd do well with any of them.
