Your right on the money with the eating sizes. I always realease the big ones(inluding the 8# in the pic). Only kept one over 10 because of a fellow meat eater caught it. Do you have much success for Erie Smallmouths, Would love to try it next year.Be willing to trade a Lake Ontario salmon fishing trip for a Erie trip. Have Happy New Years!
Nice fish Bob. If you had of caught those fish at BOQ they probably have a few more pounds on them.
It's nice to be on the boat after christmas. With the current forcast you might wanna keep your boat out. Happy New years!
I have a 8 HP on my 19 footer and have no probs. Steering in to the wind can be tough but that's usually because of it being to the one side of the boat.
Don't worry Al we will get them for sure next time out. Let's do it any time after christmas. I got a least one more quinte trip!If the fishing is good we should consider crashing there for the night seeing we probably won't do the Bungalow at Nippissing. Let me know when.
To think I fished there last december 13. Ice was 4-5 inches of clear black ice.Didn't get one bite that day despite the great weather we had. Thanks for the update.
Welcome back! I was at niagara on friday was pretty stained, fish from a boat for 3 hours and got nutin. But it should be clearing up soon, some guy from shore said they had some luck, My advice is that it can't hurt to try. Good luck and let us know how you did.
North of the Elliot lake area, is a good start. Get the stocking list from that area, The further you go the better, use minnows, run and gun and always fish the last hour.
Are ya set to go Al. Me I'm gettin ready to go now, how early did ya want to head out? Got a special suprise for tomorrow.Betcha your curious now. Call me tonight,
