There's a guy name Greg Klatt who guides out there if I'm not mistaken he guaretee fish(might be perch though). Im sure if you google his mane you will find his website. I have a portable and move around but somtimes still get skunk. I love hut sevice every once in a while just show up no worry's.

I have no assocations with any hut operators on any lake but I had a hut out for a few years and when they say there were slaying them yesterday they might not be lying I had days in my hut where I nailed them one day and not mark a single fish on the vexilar the next days. I would go to my hut with friends and guarentee some fish just to be skunk. Lake Simcoe is huge lake and the fish might be just be a km away.

If your by yourself a heavy bucket will do in the hut. If it's two or more just have one person in the hut at all times.

The fishing must have been slow if no one got one. Problem with huts is you can't pick up and move. I'd be up for some fishing somtimes. Tim hales is good bet also. there putting the huys out in the deep area this week' Pm if your intersted.

Nice pic's. Sorry about your luck out there.. I've caught lots of fish on Simcoe at the 50 ft range. I notice in your pic's you had rods out instead of balance tip ups. That might be the key for your success. Whitefish somtimes or often hit so lightly you need those tipups as they are very sensitive. Also I don't know if you were jigging a williams whitefish lure.. I rather jig that lure than fish with minnows as they bring in the fish with the flash fromfar far away and the whitey's and lakers often hit that lure and not even bother with minnows. Good luck next time Pm me if you have any other questions.

Nice lures. Now you got to do the tank trial. You want those blades spinning on the slowest retrieve. Must be pretty rewarding catching fish on lures you made.

The best place to be on the ice today is in hut , with a good heater. Imagine all the people who started today with out a hut (I've been there) there thinking I can take a little cold.. Your only human people, jigging in this weather with out shelter even with a good float suit can be fun for about an hour tops. Better hope ya get a fish in that first hour.

There playing alot better these days.Raycroft is in the zone. Hope you will cheer louder than all the suit around. Was given tickets for the florida panther 7-2 lost in dec. Still had a great time.Nice gift. l

Nice Pic's. Love the wintery looking sunshine in the photo's. The only good thing about thin ice is the hand augering.
-
Never saw the episode. where were they fishing? Caught a twenty somethin thru the ice on simcoe, what abattle.
-
The one guy grab it out of the pefectly, there's an art to that. Nice video!
-
You should see them on Simcoe. Logs I tell ya!
-
I wouldn't worry now about the ice. All those people tested it out. Suppose to stay cold, so it should thicken... big lake is frozen now. Hope it hold's.

The key is being mobile, tiny jiggs light line with maggots rarely fail. Having a camera or flasher can make or break a day.

Was fortnate enough to hit the ice with some buddy's for pick up game last night at the A.C.C. One the guys I play with some how put together an awesome night of pick up hockey game. It was great way for us to start the hockey day in Canada weekend.I'm pretty sure I'll never play hockey there again so I snap a pile of pic's. Pic of the center ice. A pic of me. This pic is from the Leafs bench.( Our team bench for that night) Our team (team white) was victorious, I manage to score once after several great chances. (I think the building was making me nervous) I love being on the ICE whether it be lake Ice or hockey Ice, that's one the reason I took the handle ICEGUY. Thanks for reading my post.

Thanks fishless cause of this post I'm gonna have to try some Wawa fly in fishing... Sounds like a few guys here had a good time with that Hawk air. Checked out there website and looks pretty solid. Good luck with the trip.

I get stressed when the people I fish with get all sucky and say "there no point or there no fish in this lake" or I target panfish and I get skunked and when my stuff breaks or doesn't run properly. Skunking with any other species goes with the territory.

Is there another Hyatt in the Calander area... I think it's Rob Hyatt and he runs a good ship. Been to his bungalow's the last few years(not this year of course)

That's the craziest coaster I've ever seen, and I've been on a lot of coasters.Thank's for sharing.

Nice black bass trap shooter. That's a darkie for sure, Look's like it's lives over some mud or something. Love the Temagami area.

Didn't Intend to leave the backround out. Most of Simcoe looks like that. I released the fish cause I caught it pretty fast and I assume I was going to get another. Woodro, like to make it tomorrow but I have no one to go with and I have to be back early afternoon. Sucks cause the weather looks good for A.M. How did you make out at Quinte the other day?

Made it out early for some whitey action before the wind was to pick up.Got out to the water, was great for about 45 minuutes and the sceduled wind picked up a couple hours early and my anchor stop sticking to the sandy bottom of Lake Simcoe. Managed a whitey off a williams and my buddy got one off a cripple herring before the wind continued to worsten. So we packed it up called it a day. Might give it a try tomorrow.
