  1. According to the regs, you are allowed to hunt in Ontario with a pellet gun.

    Page 23.

    "Air and pellet pistols
with a muzzle velocity less than 152 metres (500 feet) per second
may be used for hunting in Ontario (see restrictions on page 24)"

I hunt grouse with a pellet gun. And so do several of my hunting buddies. Great for grouse during the bow moose season, when you don't want to be banging away in the bush.

  2. The shop I buy ammo in told me I might not be able to get my Cotote caliber for a while. Maybe as long as a year.

So I bought his last 3 boxes.

Don't know if I got duped or not. But I have ammo for a year.

I've heard a few reasons for the shortage. There was a big discussion about changing some gun laws. So as I understand, some people started to stock pile.

So rounds like my Coyote gun (.222) may not be available for a little while. I'm sure the ammunition companies make a mint on NATO rounds. Not rare Preditor rounds.

  3. I've only been in once. And it was the road in from the south. It was in the spring, and there was still a foot of snow/ice on the road. Just two tire tracks to follow.

Ford Ranger. Bottomed out a few times. But nothing to scary.

I'd avoid in with most cars. I think they used to run a rally on that road a long time ago.
