I fished there the past few summers for bass in the shallows but i'm interested in trying for musky/pike and some walleye this time around.

I am going on a week long fishing trip near Cornwall, well i'm going to rent a cabin across the border to fish the st lawrence. What i was wondering is what are good techniques for fishing deep water? Everything i have in my tackle box is shallow water gear as i usually just fish the Grandriver. Thanks for any info.

I went out to do some shore fishing on the Grand and managed two smallies on a mepps spinner. Heres one of the smallies i caught. I taken a pic of the other one but having trouble uploading it.

I was just wondering if anyone fished at smiths mill pond? I talked to a fellow fisherman that said it was a good place to try but i can't find any info in the regs for that body of water? So thanks for any info.

it was quite the surprise hooking into a pike as i usually catch bass or the odd channel cat.

I went out for the first time this season on the grand for some evening casting. The bite was slow until i switched up baits to a mepps spinnerbait. I hooked into two pike at about 15 inches long and missed one on a skitter pop. I'm amazed that i caught a pike in the grand. It was a fun outing that i'm gonna repeat tomorrow with some pics.

I totally understand the regs for status members. its jus the map that i get caught up on, since most co's don't consider the treaty area that big or don't really know themselves where the boundries are.

its hard to go by the mnr and the band council for where to fish for status natives. as each have different understanding for fishing/hunting treaty areas and boundries. so jus tell your buddy to keep getting the license and stay within the regs to jus be on the safe side.

Hi i was planning on trying my luck on this river in the next few days but i was jus wondering what can be caught there? and if anyone's familiar with the area can you pm me for some tips for that area? thanks for any info

Has anyone hooked into any crappie yet? I was just checking to see if anyone had any luck.

I had a 15 inch kicker in the back of my pt cruiser and had two 700 watt kicker amps running it. Had to take it out when the lil one's came along. If you have that much room then go for two 10 inch subs, your truck will rattle a lttle bit but it can fixed.

What kind of truck is it your putting it in? regular or extended cab? it matters on how much space you have to work with.

Hi guys i was just wondering what does everyone do with a goby when you reel one in? I read before that you should dispose of them and not to release them back in the water? So what does everyone do with them?

I heard of the boilies and tried them once but had no takers. I never knew you could use corn to catch carp and i might have to give it a try. Thanks for all the info guys.

Hi i was just wondering what are good baits to use for carp fishing? I usually hook into 20 to 30 lbs carp with dew worms in the grand but was looking for different types of bait to try. Thanks for any feedback.

Where does the hunt take place? not looking for a specific location where you hunt but just is it on or off their treaty area to hunt?

Its just that fishing in the grand really differs from fishing in a lake. The strong current gets the best of me sometimes. Thanks for all the replies and i will try my luck in caledonia+york.

Hi i was just looking for some good spots to hook into some bass in or around caledonia area of the grand? What kind of baits do they like? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

I had caught this using a jointed rapala on my outing today with my son and two nephews. I plan on hitting back out tomorrow.
