Hey everyone,
Just a heads up...
I came across a site that is clearing out some Live Target lures for 6 or 7 bucks each. The selection isn't the best, but they still have the crayfish cranks and traps, the pumpkinseed, and some smelts.
Take a look:

Can't go wrong for a lure that usually costs 12 or 13 bucks plus tax up here.

He mentioned Mississippi river. It's probably legal there too. As for the lake Michigan snagging, it would appear that you have to take the fish home. I don't see anything wrong with taking fish using that method if you are going to take it home if it's legal. Clearly that law was not designed for sport fishermen. Only for those who want to bring home some meat to their family.
Oh dear...
Let the debate begin.

Your reports never fail to be great.

My condolences, Rick.

Done and done. Thanks Dan.

Here is a question, perfect thread for it!
What are the weird dome shaped buildings near the 407?
Where on the 407? Near the 401?
-
Anybody know what it is? It has 5 or 6 "silo like" tubes facing the hwy.
Ha. I've been wondering that too.
-
That's a lot of lunge. Nice report.

Really? You wouldn't sit in your car eating lunch for obvious reasons?
What reasons? Seriously are things so bad that you can't eat lunch in your car without raising suspicions? All due respect but that thinking is more than a little extreme.
Beat me to it, Mike.

Outdoors wise, I got a Daiwa Luna 203 baitasting reel and a Buck Ergo Pro knife.
-
I just got a Canada Outdoors magazine and some guy sent in a pic of a 12.3lb 25in bass, lol..
I about pissed my pants.
I read that too. I considered writing a letter to the editor lol.

Not a new story, but I'd never heard of this before. Pretty cool and effective idea.
Nova Scotia uses a robotic moose decoys to trick poachers.

Thanks a lot. I've got the depth chart actually.
The concern with the pike is that some sources (Guides, Outfitters) claim that there's pike there, while one park report was adamant that there is not suitable pike habitat and their population is therefore extremely low.
I haven't fished it but it's far enough South that I would bet that the pike grow big in there. I would also bet there is good fishing for burbot and whitefish. There are probably big lakers in that lake as well.
It looks to be a resevoir too.
Here's depth charts of the lake.
Here's a topo map of the area.
I would say there is a good chance that this lake would make an awesome vacation.

Anyone have any experience fishing Kusawa Lake in the Yukon?
Looking into a trip next Spring and if anyone has some first-hand knowledge that would be great.
I know there is lakers, but I've read conflicting reports about the presence of pike and grayling.
Any info is appreciated, and feel free to recommend other lakes in the area.

Kessel is a goal scorer and when he`s not scoring well he`s not doing much,Gretzky,Yzerman,Oates,Sakic and guy like that were great play makers Kessel`s stats of 80 or so points in 300 plus games is not a great play maker mumbers.
193 points in 309 games, actually.
But hey, who's counting?

Burke won't get rid of Wilson. Remember he is trying to win the cup...for his hometown team. Wilson will go when Burke goes and as long as the money rolls in, that won't happen. The Leafs are lucky that a few other teams have really tanked this year or else they would be at the bottom already.
Do you honestly think Wilson will last another three years (how much longer Burke has on his deal) if they continue at this pace?
The money rolling in has nothing to do with it, either. The Leafs are worth more than any other NHL team, and that has never stopped them from firing coaches in the past...

Hate to be the one to say it.......and i dont mean it in a harsh way, but i dont think it would be very hard to come up with alternatives to keep your furry family member and try your business venture at the same time. I dont know your entire situation, so i could be wrong, im just trying to help you out as im sure its tearing at you. You look like two peas in a pod in your avatar.
Can you board the dog during daycare hours
Can you bring her to work with you during daycare hours
Can you find someone that would dogsit during the day and pick her up after work
Do you have a large property that you could put a small kennel away from the house
She looks good with kids, could you introduce clients to the pup and show them how docile she is and maybe use it as a cuteness tool to draw cleints
Could you explain to your wife that you took on a responsibility to care for this animal and daycare can wait a few years?
I dunno, just trying to help ya think. Gotta be a way to keep him in your family
My thoughts exactly. But I guess Laz has already considered all of his options and this is what it came down to.

Go to DMV tell them you made the trailer. Pay your money and be done with it. You will get ownership and vin # you need scribe on trailer.
Ditto.

I was thinking the same thing. I still have the receipt and the Clarus rod is Limited Lifetime warranty. Would I be able to take it into A. Aikman Sporting Goods & Repair to get the rod replaced or at least repaired? I tried to call Aikman many times and they never pick up. I even need some Curados cleaned out and relubed as well.
They will probably refer you to Aikman anyways. I would think they'd replace it, or at the least repair it...but I can't be sure having not seen the rod.
Even if Le Baron agrees to take it, I highly doubt they would give you an over-the-counter exchange. Most likely they will just send it to Aikman themselves, so you may as well cut out the middle man if you don't mind going out to Mississauga.
EDIT: I'm mostly talking about the Markham location, where I was. I see that you're in Missisauga anyways, so I'm guessing that's the location where you bought the rod. The manager there is Adam. Since you're in Mississauga, you have the receipt, and the rod is under warranty, I would just take it to Aikman myself.

Having worked there, I wouldn't waste your time. They are pretty strict about the return policies.
Who knows though. Your best bet might be Thursday or Friday between 7:00-9:00pm when the store isn't too busy, and the owners aren't around.

As always, awesome report.

I joined here in March of 08. Pretty sure I was looking for info for summer fishing of some sort.
I stay because my daughter and I have received a lot of great support and encouragement with our new found sport together.
I think you've got the wrong thread there, my friend.

He has been suspended indefinitely.
That really shouldn't be a surprise.
Something else that shouldn't surprise anyone...if he never plays a game for the Canucks again.
