Gonna edit in some of the UFAs for 2011 - Some of these guys would look great in blue and white.
Brad Richards
Chara
Thorton
StLuis
Markov
Vokuoun
Brylgalov
Semin
Miko Koivu
Although I would LOVE some of those players to be wearing Leafs jerseys next Fall, some have already signed extensions to avoid free agency.
Chara, Thornton, St. Louis, Semin, and Koivu all re-signed at different points during this season.

If he's a young guy on the service he needs to be brought down a peg
I think he needs to be brought down a peg period, whether hes young or a vet.
-
Duncan suffered minor smoke inhalation when he went back inside to pull a laptop from the building, "to save their memories."
That's quite the encore.

You betcha!! That is part of what being a true fan is all about. I'll knock them as much as the other guy when they deserve it, but, always have been and always will be a Leafs fan. Can't stand bandwagon jumpers, or, when people switch "their" teams, just because they are winning.
Will they make the playoffs, still a long shot, but as long as they continue to improve and move in the right direction things are looking up.
Exactly.

Leaf fans. Give them a ray of hope and they fall all over themselves. It's kind of like dangling a string in front of a kitten.
I've been a fan my entire life. Sometimes I'm frustrated with them, but I've never given up on them.
It's people like that, who mock Leafs fans, that are very conveniently Detroit or Pittsburgh fans.

Change the owners... not the players
Tell me what the problem with the ownership is?
The spend to the cap, they'll pay to send guys to the minors...they hired Burke, which most people felt was the best move at the time.
I don't like the fact that the OTPP has control of the team, but realistically, what else can they do?
-
it is if you look at their record the past 6 years.
that said, for the sake of spiting boston, i hope they can be as competitive as possible.
The team now is completely independent from any team beyond last year, considering almost all of the players have been changed besides Kaberle.
But thanks for your support

8th place is on pace for 88 points.
Assuming Toronto needs 90 points to get in, they need to go 17-7 over the remaining 24 games.
Not exactly that far fetched.

I was gonna suggest Le Baron but he beat me to it!

I have 2 suggestions but I have not stayed at either of these places in quite sometime. Both have changed ownership since I stayed there but both should have what you want:
The Waltonian Inn - On Nippissing, the accomodation was great, going out to the huts in Bombardier half-tracks was cool and the huts are huge, clean and we caught fish. Their full-service American Plan is all-inclusive and it includes bait and tipups for fishing.

The Red Umbrella Inn on 12-Mile Lake in Minden has the huts within walking distance of the resort. Stayed there quite a few years ago but the place was nice, it had a great lounge, food was good and we caught fish.

As mentioned above space could be limited.
I stayed at the Waltonian this season.
It was good, but I wouldn't say it was great.
The space heater in the cottage was broken. We asked them to bring another one, they said they would, but never did.
Also, the TV in the cottage was broken. Not that TV was a big deal, but if it's going to be there, then it should at least work.
In terms of fishing, it was pretty terrible. I don't blame the lodge for that...it was just one of those weekends.
For positives: the huts were big and clean, the kid drilling the holes was really good to us, and the restaurant was pretty lively on Saturday night with a live guitarist.
Overall it was a good experience, just not great.

...and if they went through the ice and died? I guess they would've learned something then.
These kids were 8 or 9. Not 15 or 16.
-
Maybe if they'd post the bloody seminar schedule I could decide if/when I'm going...

Hey Brian,
Here's a topic I started about steelhead reels a while ago:

The general consensus was a Whiskerlite or a Stradic.

This should definitely expand the reach of Sebile's lures.
Any tackle shop/box store that carries Berkley could soon be carrying Sebile.
-
Thanks for the heads up.... I keep giving them a thought, but I've made it this far in life reading a paper map and asking pretty girls on street corners where to go... so hard to give that up! lol
Haha...but the the unit can tell you how to find the pretty girls (bars, strip clubs...)
Price match at FS or BB? get an additional 10% off the price difference!
If it was advertised then that would be sweet.

Just left Shopper's Drug Mart (Richmond Hill - Bayview & 16th).
They had the TomTom 335S on sale for $99.99. They sell it regularly at $179.99. For comparison's sake, Future Shop sells it for $169.99.
I tried to find it in their online flyer, but it's not threre. So, call your local store before you go over.
I'm a fan of Garmin, but at that price you can't go wrong.

Superb pictures, Al.
I'm heading into that area in July, so hopefully we can into some of those beauties too.

we got like 5-6 cms in richmond hill, I drove into the office. The news was WAYYYYYYY OFF
Yeah, I measured 8cms in my driveway in Richmond Hill.
Nowhere near the 20-25cm they were predicting.

I've watched quite a few episodes, and from what I can see, Jeremy Wade is a pretty ethical angler.
He always holds the fish horizontally, and usually keeps it in the water while he talks to the camera, unlike most fishing shows on WFN. I've only ever seen him keep 1 fish, and that was because it couldn't be revived.
So, I wouldn't hold this one against him.
-
Measurements were 33"x19"
It's still swimming if you want to try to catch her tomorrow....sorry for the ridiculous look on my face in the release shot.....not as ridiculous as I'd look if I kept it though!

Yah.. but you don't know the whole story Geoff... What were the kids doing before this happened??
I've rode a chair lift since I was 4 years old.. never seen a reason to fall off one and I've been in some pretty hairy situations as a teacher/ski patrol escorting kids (under 6) etc. The only place you generally get mowed down is right at the loading ramp...
Well, if they were doing something wrong then those two adults sure taught them a lesson......
Letting a kid fall 30 feet isn't exactly the same as a slap on the behind.

Haven't seen many posts about the Loafs making the playoffs lately. I guess after getting shelled 7 - 0 by NY, and now resting deep in the basement (tied with Ottawa for 26th place overall) the bandwagon has crashed and burned for another year.
And it's not even February yet! Talk about disgraceful.
Plus ca change ... plus c'est la meme chose! The more that things change ... the more they stay the same!
...And you're a fan of? Pittsburgh? Detroit?
-
It all depends on where you go. Generally, the better the restaurant, the better the customer service.
One time at Baton Rouge with my family for my birthday...
I ordered a steak, medium. The cut of the steak was a little bit uneven and by the time I got to the other end it was completely raw. Unacceptable at a steakhouse.
We told the waiter, who took it upon himself to tell the manager.
My steak was comped and I was offered a new one, even though I had eaten more than half. I was also offered free dessert and given a $25 gift certificate.
Now that's service.
My take on the show

Show was good...there were some deals to be had.
Picked up a 7'6" MH St. Croix Mojo Bass - normally $129.99 + tax - for $110 tax-in at Tightlines.
LiveTargets were also on at one of the retailers for buy 4, get one free.
Saw Bob's seminar which was cool.
