Hey guys i managed to get out walleye fishing last week on monday and thursday ....both days were gorgeous weather 30 deg and 5 - 10km wind from the south....was out on monday with my GF and the fishing was pretty good...got three quick fish all about 16'' right off the bat. after that the fishing slowed down for about two hours but it was mostly due to us swimming and enjoying the lake..lol. found another school with bigger fish and went 3 for 5. all were between 17 and 19''....nice looking walleye It was a great day on the water and my GF Sabrina was a great net girl...lol and all fish were released to swim another day On thursday went out with a with a fellow ofner ...eric...and we managed to find some bigger fish ....all fish were between 16 and 22''....we caught 6 and only kept the two smallest....I caught these two one after another ...they must have been with in a foot of each other Gotta love june walleye fishing .....to bad its pissen outside or i would be out today....hahaha

Hey guys I managed to get out on the water yesterday thanks to a fellow ofner....My GF wasnt to happy about me going fishing alone so I thought i would see if any OFNers would want to share my boat for me with a day and finatic ( new to the board) was interested even tho he just worked the night shift and was running on no sleep....NOW THATS HARDCORE... We were on the road by 1130 am and i was planning on going to balsam or head lake but as I was looking on the map I noticed that stugeon lake was even closer due to the sideroads we were taking......so at the last minute I busted a quick turn and our game plan was changed for the day......wanted to try somewhere new even tho I usually pick up a couple nice fish at balsam.....and it turned out to be the right move We launched at about 130 and fished for about an hour in the southern bay....I was not satisfied with the brown weeds and lack of deep water near by so I decided to look for a primo spot....theres no point fishing if you think theres nothing there...lol.... so we headed north stoping at areas that looked good but the first to stops showed no good cover on the finder so no lines were droped downand we proceeded to head north......I noticed a beauty looking little spot while driving and when i pulled up it was Gold.......all i kept saying is this is the spot we are going to get them here. And a few casts later with my grub i picked up a nice 16". I through a marker out and we worked the spot.....few minutes later I get one about 20".took a quick pic and into the live well. Great job with the net eric .....very next cast my jig hits bottom and anothe 20" I was pumped....It was textbook walleye fishing ( what i live for) haha......we continued to work the spot...missed a few solid hits and caught a beauty 10lb muskie which was released right away ....heres a vid not sure if it will work. java script:ol('http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49pSXkgbwtw'); after the muskie rolled in the fishing shut down and the wind changed from 5km to 35 in the matter of min...I thought it was best to head closer to where we launched cause we were almost a half hour ride away..I was satisfies but i really wanted eric to catch something..We fished for another hour or so and eric picked up a beauty 16 incher......It was a great day on the water I usually dont keep any walleye and had relaesed all caught already this seaon but these ones were going to be a taty treat

Also what tackle should i bring for messin around off shore with my extendo rod? thanks guys and good luck out there

Hey guys I managed to get on the water one last time before I leave for Jamaica with my beautiful girlfriend. First off I would like to thank Rob ( iceguy) for putting me on my very first open water king salmon. What a fight....You truely are a king of kings Rob. Alarm went off at 3:30 am and was on the water fishing by 6am. We picked up our first fish a little after 7am. It was good to get the skunk out of the boat early my first open water king . What a treat. A Beautiful 20lb king About 20 min later Rob hit this nice scrappy 4lb bow It was nice to bump into a bow right away but Rob diserved a nice king. And he got what he diserved a half hour later A gorgeous 24lb Chinook We were content after landing those two, well atleast I was but we were in for a treat. As soon as the lines were back in the water we hit another king. Me with a 23lb king I was spoiled my very first time out for salmon and i think i will put riggers on my boat soon.lol. But the action wasnt over yet . We couldnt even get all the lines back down and another fish was on. It was a 16lb king and It liked to jump....lol. Rob landed it after a very acrobatic fight. But we were unable to take pics due to my warpo camera. It was a great day on the water and a lot of fun... Thanks rob for gettingme addicted to a new type of fishing . Im sure i will spend a couple Gs on salmon gear this season.....lol . It would be cheaper to have a drug addiction...lol Goodluck on the water

Hey guys its been a while since i posted a report because ive been busy at school but with summer vacation in full swing im back on the water. Finished school last wednsday and since then went out for perch on simcoe twice and out for Pike once......All three days were non stop action ....I love the spring The first day of perchin was great and we boated over 60 perch and atleast 25 of them were over 11inches ,the biggest being close to 14. The second day of perchin the action was even better and close to a hundred in three hours and atleast fifty were over 10 inches, we caught a couple that were 13. Went out yesterday for some pike. It was a beautiful day but a bit windy . The fish were biting thats for sure but i was rusty on the hook set. I went 8 for 14 on mr pike....OUCHHHH. my buddy andrew caught one pike and four huge bass hunting for the toothy criters......In total we boated 9 pike and six huge bass in the process. Dont wurry they were released boatside as they are out of season and on there beds. The biggest pike was 31 inches and we only caught one under twenty eight....not bad Me with a pike about eight pounds Another one about the same size It was a great couple days on the water and it will only get better as the water temps climb
