  1. the are three wires...blk, red, orange.... from what was told to me black and red 24v circuit...black and organge 12v circuit....hope this clarifies things....of not let me know!
  2. Ya new one (to me) is a MG Brute 56lb with the 12/24v switch...ok I will wire in a series with a 50amp breaker from the red hot line to the TM....is the above wiring diagram correct???
  3. So wire in series is the way to go then...Is the diagram correct? And do you suggest a 40 or 50amp breaker?
  4. My boat is a 16ft mirrocraft...Currently using a MG36lb 12v off 1 interstate battery...Only last 4-5hr max and have to have it full speed to move me around when boat is loaded....I wanna hook my Brute MG 56lb TM...it has 12v/24v mode...My question is it better to run 2 batteries in parrell for 12 v mode OR wire 2 batts in a series for 24v mode? Will I get same draw/power and run time either way? I would be using to 27class interstates bats? Need to know the set up that would give me best bang for my buck! Finally would I put a breaker on all hot +ve terminals???I found these attached diagrams for reference(not sure if they are accurate)...Which way would you go???thanks
  5. thanks guys for the input....ya truck is for wife...I have my car....She use to have true 4x4....so i kinda of spectable on the 4wd....just looking at options...really good deals on ford 2010 right now...and yes tow package is a must...thanks again
  6. Looking for a little Truuck for wife....Ford Escape V6 4wd Limited with tow package model....Is it all wheel drive or does it have 4x4? Curious to know experiences towing boat (16ft aluminum)- how does it fare in/out of launches and more importantly driving in snowy conditions (and I mean country snow driving not in City. You thoughts. Thanks
  7. Hey

I ended picking up 56l....Thing was in great shape and good deal. Thanks

  8. I went over kill on wire so i have 4 guage instead of 6awg....problem with 24v I don't have space to add another battery under my deck...I may get away in future with two Optima's as they are smaller in size or sacrafice with 2 24class batteries.i will have to measure but it will be tight....right now I have a 27class interstate for TM and one 24class cranking and electronics....with gas tank in the mix don't have much real estate...I could get away with my 36lb but when windy or weeds I have to run it on 5 max....I think I could get a good deal on the unit and since its a motor guide the mounting is the same as my 36lb just interchange shaft and go!....just on the fence still as my 36 will run me all day struggle a bit but do the job...not sure how far the 56lb will get me without juicing battery off a 12v system...not much experience this way...that is why I come to you dudes!
  9. THe unit is a Moto Guide 756 Brute 56 lb thrust electric trolling motor shaft 12 V/ 24V
  10. OK I see..thanks for the info guys....Would it be worth upgrading to 56lb thrust as i only have a 12v system? Or should I stay with my 36lb?
  11. NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Can spare a couple of minutes of your time to see if maybe you can help me out? If so here is my question: I have an oppertunity to pick up a MG Brute 56 lb thrust electric trolling motor 42" shaft 12 V/ 24V...I run a 12 V system..My questions: Is this too much Thrust for a 16ft? Also will there be limitations to running a 12v system as I do not have enough room on my boat to hook up a 24v system? By running on 12v system will I get the most trust out of 56lb or will I just be getting less similar to my current 36lb? My current MG 36lb works great but its better to have more than less! Let me know what you think if you can. Much appreciated

  14. I typically don't fish muskie or have "muskie" gear...I just want to try and see as I have couple of old heavy action ugly sticks lying around and I figured I will give it a shoot in between some bass fishing... I guess my best luck would be trolling 10- 20 ft close to shoreline? What do you guys think
  15. OK...I have caught decent size pike in past...but never a decent size muskie....Heading to Balsam and Canal Lake...In terms of tackle I have larger bomber a, husky jerks and rouges...have access to a cradle and a couple of suwicks (not sure on spelling)...couple of buck tail spinners..braided line...steel leader and a couple of heavy action rods...juts basic stuff..not really a muskie fisherman but I thought I would try my luck...hope this helps..thanks
  16. Ive read a few post and trying to gather some data...Im not looking for spots but rather your advice on technique, lure selection and what parts of water to fish for musky at this time of the year....In nut shell what advice can you give?
  17. I have an older shorter 3/4" treaded seat post 11" tall came of my 91 mirrocraft...Im looking for an adapter piece so I can use my bicclye seat to operate foot controled bow mount..looking for an adjustable post 22" +..Lebaron, CTC and Bass Pro don't have older version like mine.... the 3/4 treaded shank they carry is much longer than mine at the base.....Besides Online, Bass pro where else can i find right seat post??
  18. I ended up using my original brass bracket...re dieelctric grease do I grease it up in between and on top of all connection points?
  19. nice catch!!!!!!
  20. Do I slather it on +ve terminal bottom and on bracket where it touches bottom of terminal and on top or bracket where wing nut will fasten? Also do I spread some on all breaker connection points???
  21. I decided to make another bracket out of steel and not use my original brass one....Yes Sugog I know what you mean about those terimals close together. I put a large zip tie down the centre of breaker and once all bolted together it acts as a good wegde to keep things in line and not touching. Here are a couple of pics. Let me know what you think....I can't wait for long weekend to get my baby back in the water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. I set up this rig as it works best with 4 guage wire and everything fits inside battery box to keep dry. I used a brass plate drilled holes and bent to fit. Check below pics and let me know if this is a safe system. Brass was only metal I had around garage. Let me know if this will work on 50amp breaker and is safe and won't mess up my battery. Im a newbie but learning quickly!!! Your thoughts!!!
  23. Ya I had to cut to reduce size so I could post...not that high tech... these were the ones I took that i had a camera with me....caught a nice smalley just over 4lb - great fight and couple of nice size largies....a tone of 1.5- 2.5 lbers too...got to learn photobucket or what ever cause i see other posts with a bunch of pics!! thx guys!
