I have a 16ft side counsol v hull boat...first year Im going to store outside and never had a boat cover...CTC has em on sale as well as BP. THe BP cover look cheap compared to Canadian Tire CT for almost same price...I noticed Princess Auto has em for alot cheaper and 600 marine polyester vs. 400 at Canadian Tire...As these are universal covers and my boat beam is 68" will these covers fit snug and withstand winter (I will make 2x2 support under cover)_ or should I buy a good tarp and extra groomets and make my own cover and use rubber bunggie tie downs??..Your thoughts and experience would help my out thanks!

Sorry If Im asking stupid questions... you need you guys to hold my hand on this one and give me a complete walk thru..want do it right....this to me is a huge upgrade as I am currently using a 1975 Shakespears wonder troll 26lb transdome mount with aligator clips!! really ole school! thanks guys

Thanks Scougog....Where could i get a 40A circuit breaker? Bass pro, Lebarons, HD,, CTC??..is there a particular one you would use? if so where to get it? Also to clarify heatshrink at connection point only right? or entire run?..what about if I used quality marrets and wrapped tight with tape? quote name='scugog' date='28 August 2010 - 04:02 PM' timestamp='1283025767' post='499364'] I would recommend 6ga wire at the minimum and a 40A circuit breaker on the + wire as close to the battery as possible. Solder connections and use heatshrink tubing and/or quality tape. I bought some conduit from Home Depot and ran mine under the floor on my boat. Any more ? let us know.

Long term decline of the Toronto fishing show
baironhorse replied to scuro2's topic in General Discussion
The show has contracted over the years....Many of the boths are selling ecess stock and the deals are not as good they use to be...You got to know what your looking for...As far as Lebaron I have not seen them a the show for a few years ( unless I had to many beers and missed them). The BP spring sale is a bigger venue than the fishing show! Although there tackle is quite pricy and only wroth buying if you can't find it at Lebaron or Crappie Tire! My 2 cents! -

Im a floatin newbie...Re. Main line and leader..... Question: Is it ok to use left over leader from last (april08)year's outings? I was using 2,4,6 Drennan Fluorocarbon fly leader. I have a few wheels left over. Will it lose it's properties... Also for main line I am using Berkley Iron Slilk 8 & 10lbs- two new boxes a couple of years old..stocked up this line since it is discontinued from Brekley.... Don't want to get out there and be tying leaders all day from snags and most of losing FISH! You input would be approciated. Thx On a final note what do you guys recommend for Main Line. I here Maxima line in favoured? Whats your preference? Thx again!
