yea tell me about it i cant wait too...i think im going to get my bow and cross bow license to give me an extra 3-4 weeks of hunting...sounds like you guys need atleaast 2 more hunters so you can pass the rake through the thick bush and flush them out...
-
dont worry man youll get him eventually, i just got back from hunting, we always hunt the last week as theres way less pressure, me and my dad hunt a piece of private land thats maybe 5km by 5km and we were all alone..i had my trail cams set up, quite a few does coming but only at night!! had a 10 point on cam but never to be seen during the day until our last day there but my dad couldent get a clear shot, we hunt the same style of sloppy bush like you up near st donat. better luck next year..

ya even on hard packed trails my sled will over heat after about 20km, i just got a set of ice scratchers for it and will see if that fixes things. i dont ride to many trails with the rmk, most of my lake running has powder on them. definitely wont be running simcoe haha!! keep the sleds coming, i didnt think this thread would do this well! awesome guys!
youll definately see a difference , ive had scratchers on all my machines and my friens summits, rmk, and m series and on hard pack trails overheathing is done

awesome sleds guys keep them pics coming..my nest step is to get an older vintage sled for relaxed sunday rides.. its pretty cool to see how machines have come a long way.

i changed back to 2 stroke because i do mostly off trail riding in the back country woods here in quebec and that 4 stroke is way too heavy when you get stuck! first ride for me is november 20th, cant wait

would it turn over once it cooled off, tell ya powering thru that slush is tough on them ,those Rotary 500s are tough, but nothing lasts forever,300.00 for a set of 20 thou Wisecos ,80 cyl to bore em ,get a crank from Adrien Bernard for 400.00 and a gasket set for 80.00 ya got yourself a new plant, hopefulloy the rotary faces arent all scared from metal fragments and the brass gear survived the lock up your good to go.I do 3-4 Rotary Rebuilds a winter 1000.00 plus your own labour your back in buisness
[/ your better off going with millenium in the states for a crank..too many horror stories from ad bernard..dealt with him once and that was my last time!!
btw maybe you have water in your gas?

Bummer
Carl, do you ice fish? If so, where do you go since all species are closed Nov 30th in zone 9?
i icefish about 3-4 times a winter on lac des deux montagnes (zone 8)for walleye, i get enough fishing done in the summer that i mostly snowmobile all winter and enjoy the great scenery
-
.Yeah Carl it sure is.... very healthy population of lakers and well managed, the water is crystal clear. That really suck about the close date of all species. Does it reopen for hard water??Thanks fishnsled!
Thanks lunkerbasshunter!
nope closed all winter, ive always wondered why

thats an awesome laker lake..you guys are lucky out here in zone 9 everything closes november 30th...even perch!!

hes the king of the territory, there was another 10 point around but somebody during bow season took a crappy shot and injured him, we found his head and rack on the weekend
well we know the other 10 point will be there next season
