Got one of the original Olympus Stylus 300's (water resistant but it's been dinked to 6' and lived) and an Olympus Stylus SW1050 (waterproof and have used it as such). Both still work fine after many years of service.
I have heard good things about the Panasonic Lumix cameras as well.

I was watching the telly last night and I happened upon a game.
Seems the Ottawa team lost to the New York Rangers.
Sorry about your loss Matt.
Seems that's #4 in a row.
I sure hope the Leafs don't lose 2 more games in a row as then they would be just as bad as the Sens.
Here's hoping the Leafs extend your losing streak to 6 on Saturday (that is if you manage to lose to the Blues on Friday). If not we'll just start your next losing streak!!!
:rofl2:

Thanks for trying to help guys, I guess I'm just too old or too stupid. I downloaded overdrive to her kobo but then all I get is the welcome screen telling me how wonderful overdrive is and how easy it is to use. I can't get anything past that.
I give up!
Don't feel bad Cliff.
I had one of the instructors here at the college get a Kindle and she asked me to figure out how to work it. The instructions were on the unit but I found it impossible to figure out how to change the dang page!!!!
I told her "you're on your own"
And I am a tech guy!!!!!
I just use Wattpad on my Blackberry as an ereader.

~~~looks great But where's the wine rack??
This is a little project I built for my folks quite some time ago but never had any pics of it. I took a couple of shots last month when I was back in Ontario.
Got a lot of hours into this beast and it was built with no plans and just a rough sketch.
It is made of solid pine (except the back. This was 1/4" pine plywood).
The one I made in my old place,was made from 4x4,s.Lap jointed the whole thing,fastened with lag bolts.. You could put an engine on it. Im a go big, kinda guy.
My assembly bech was like that.
Must have weighed 500#'s with the 6'X6'X1 1/4" MDF top and 4"X4" frame.
When I built the workshop in our place back in Ontario I built my work benches with the front supports angling back toward the wall. Sort of in a triangular fashion if you know what I mean. This made it much easier for sweeping/cleanup and kept the front supports from getting in the way.
The frame and supports were 2x4's and the top was 3/4" G1S plywood.
This bench was 20' long and went along 2 walls wrapping around an outside corner.
Here's a crude drawing to help visualize it.
I also built a 6'X6' assembly table on wheels that I could roll around the shop as needed.
The top was 1 1/4" Melamine coated MDF. A little overkill but it was free.
Yeah but I only ever do that fishing the surf in places like Craigleith, never in a river.
Don't lie!! I saw you in Port Credit by the rowing club with your bag of marshmallows in September!!!
I'm not worried as I'm sure they will turn this nasty 2 game losing spree around tomorrow against the Blues.
But if not tomorrow Saturday for sure.
You don't just "buy" a DeMarco. You place an order with Adam then unless you're very lucky, wait very patiently 'till your reel arrives. Sometimes the wait can be long.
Or you can just buy Mike's when he puts it up for sale.
I don't think he's ever held onto one for too long.
Have you had a look on YouTube at the Honda's. They throw snow about a gazillion feet. I want one real bad.
Yeah, but there's no replacement for cubic inches.
-
Best thing to do is to either heavily bulk shot (group most of the shot within 18" of the hook) or remove the float and bottom bounce (group all of your shot within 18" of the hook) to get your bait down to the fish.
Toro are a good machine.
As for size 28"-30" and 10-12 HP is a good all around size.
When I lived back in Ontario I used a 10HP 30" maching to do my 200' driveway and it would take about 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours depending on snow depth.
When we get those big winter storms with the high winds it was not up to the task as the snow got hard like concrete in our wide open driveway. When that happened we just called up one of the neighbours with a tractor and blower combo. There's no way a small blower like that is going to handle 5' deep drifts that a 200# man can walk on without breaking through.
Yeah it was nice to get out.
Would have been better under different circumstances though.
It's riding the sled and drilling holes from here on out for me now though.
1st ice fishing trip of the year is planned for this weekend.
It was good to see you guys again.
Take it easy and poke some chromers for me will ya?
YEP NICE FINISH.
Going to be a great 2 races. Sorry to see you took Kyle.
I love how NASCAR handled Kyle after Friday nights Bull.
As for the chase I'll be happy with either Tony or Carl as they are both deserving.
5+ years with a Humminbird, zero problems. Lots of Lowrance leghuppers in this thread.
20 years running Lowrance on my boat with no problems.
-
I like the shot @ 21:15 of the buckets and buckets of roe.
-
You don't want to watch the Leafs defence is standing around with their fingers up their
They be getting blown out bad.
-
Don't forget the toilet paper.....
That's why you wear 8 layers of clothing, so you can always sacrifice a shirt if needed.
-
But isn't that the point of ice fishing, to be uncomfortable?
Nope that's the point of jogging.
-
I have seen people who have a false belief that they can track back a route and miss the shoals up North after dark. It is just a game of Russian Roulette for sure.
Art
Not if you combine your mapping/GPS with a keen eye on your depth finder.
A big freaking light doesn't hurt ether.
-
You don't need any rods and reels, heaters, ice huts, gas augers etc.
Unless you want to be comfortable.
well?
