I would look for back bays and side channels with shallow 2'-6' early in the season.
They should just be finished spawning now and will be recovering and trying to warm up in the shallows.

I find Rule pumps very reliable. Not the cheapest but I don't think you want to change it again in two years.
Yep, I replaced my original bilge and live well pumps about 15 years ago to Rule pumps and they are still working like new.
-
Of course that's wrong.
We're talking seniors here.
Many short ones hopefully at a somewhat reasonable pace would be the right answer.
That's what I'm practicing for.
You're both wrong!!!!
The correct answer is none!!! I will run my scooter on high!!!!

Sorry.. but I'll call Bull on that as well! My daughters one bedroom garden apartments hydro bill is more than that and she's so cheap she has the heat set at 14C !
Sad that while consumption has always been regulated... nobody is watching the "supply" side of the bill. What use to be $16.95/month to have a line to your house + usage has now become usage being about 40% of the bill and delivery and debt recover/HST the other 60%.
Anyone is welcome to pay mine at between $575 and 680 / month!
Yeah, but you make it all back when you sell off all the weed you're growing!!!

My fav place to fish however has got to be the mouth of the Niagara. You never know what you're getting into out there!
Yep.
The area between the canal and the Niagara was always the best for me.
Off the rifle range was good spot.
-
Yup...off Port Weller to be exact. It's certainly a long haul, especially for Bill but that's where the fish are right now.
Yep. We used to go down there to fish the spring derby years ago.
We would moor my buddies 36' Hatteras in St. Kitts and drive down to fish.
-
We were out off the south shore of Lake Ontario
South?
That's a long drive Dave.
Down by St. Kitts?

Sunny and 22 here today, and the crappies are on fire!!
No drilling required
4'-5' of ice with 0'-3' of snow on top here.
-
And another ice fishing trip planned for tomorrow.
Got to load the sled on the trailer now that the roads are pretty much ice free.Hope to have the boat out for some spring cleaning and work in a couple of weeks.
Be a few more before I get it wet though.

Sorry if they're friends of yours, but I would have fired them too.
Yep, me too.
Seems justified to me.

Been shooting an 870 express magnum for 20+ years, what ever choke happened to be in it at the time. In those 20 years I have NEVER missed a single deer I shot at using slugs or 00 buck and I've often shot more than one deer at a sitting. You'll be fine! Just take a couple of shots with what ever you want to use so you are use to the gun then quit worrying. Take your time, go for the heart shot, and you'll drop that deer every time.
Mine's an SPS Camo 870.
:good:
I have other shot guns but that's my main huntin' shot gun.
I have an old Belgian side by side that I bought for doubles shoots at the gun club when I was back East. And my favorite shot gun is a Weatherby Orion over/under I used for trap and sporting clays.
Used to shoot for the Sydenham club in Owen Sound.

I was planning on taking a few shots this weekend. I don't care right now about performance, just damage to the gun or me. Is the skeet II tighter than a regular skeet?
There are 3 different skeet tubes Light Skeet, Skeet and Improved Skeet.
Constriction is .003", .005" and .007".
Cylinder choke is .000".
.005" is like the thickness of a piece of paper.
It will be fine.
-
Yeah but he is going to use a smooth skeet choke.
And that is why he was sold rifled slugs.
-
Do u know if there is a resistance spec?
Should be open.
If it is closed it is bad.
Switch should close at 190* +-8*
-
Yep!!!!
That's it.
The 2 screws hold the sensor in place.
Where the black wire from the temp sensor connects to the terminal block there should be a tan wire (this comes from the low oil sensor assy. and a blue/tan wire this goes to the controls.
If you disconnect the black wire and the alarm stops then the switch is bad. If it still goes off disconnect the blue/tan wire (this will eliminate anything to do with the low oil circuit. If it still goes off there is a short in the control wiring.

You're not saying that you caught that monster on a flyrod, are you?
Yes I am and yes I did.
Ask Solo, he took the picture.

Out to 75 yards sound great....beats buying a fully rifled barrel if you don't use it much...
Exactly. I only huted white tails about 1/2 dozen times so the expense of a rifled barrel was not worth it to me. If I was a huge white tail hunter you can bet I would have bought a barrel though.

I just ordered one of These from Bass Pro this week. Solopaddler had one on our Attawapiskat trip last spring and I really liked it so I will have one of the 24"X12"X12" models in the boat this year. It will hold a bunch of those 3700 series boxes.
-
Big Dave....how's the performance with that rifled choke on a smooth bore shotgun ? ? ?
Not too bad really.
I'm sure a rifled barrel would be better but it's pretty consistent out to 50-75 yds.
I used it when I lived in Ontario for white tails (mostly hunted cedar swamps and the shooting was pretty close). Now it's used for bear defence when camping and hiking in the bush.
-
with out a rifled barrel the new sabotted style slugs are not used.
Hmmmmmm, I've been using them for 15 years with my smooth barrel and rifled choke.
Guess I've been doing it wrong for all those years.
-
Dave, blur the background, would ya!?
Geez it'll be a zoo thus weekend!!!
Actually the background is altered.
This fish was really caught at the foot of Cherry Street!!!!!
-
As for Bill, he doesn't eat fish!
'Cause he'll DIE!!!!
Or swell up like a balloon!!!!
-
UGLY...someone had to say it......I'll take Drifter's over that "Thing" any day of the week and twice on Sunday's....
Thanks Billy Bob.
I just got a new house to go with it.

I'm trying to track down a tackle bag that is waterproof and can hold 3700 series tackle boxes. Cabelas seems to have some nice bags but mixed reviews on waterproof ness. Anyone have one that works for them? Make and model would be great. Thank you.
I just ordered one of These from Bass Pro. I liked the one Solopaddler had on our Attawapiskat trip last spring so I picked one up for this year.
I bought the 24"X12"X12" version. Plenty of room for a bunch of 3700 series boxes.
