Found a flat bed 3500 Dodge Ram once in Whitehorse.
It had been stolen and burnt in the woods beside a portage between two lakes.
We went on to our destination and went fishing, then reported it to the RCMP when we got back to town.
The desk SGT started giving me grief for waiting so long to report it. I told him it was burnt and the fire was out. It wasn't going anywhere and wasn't a danger to the woods. I said there was no way I was giving up a day fishing to go back to town to report it.
I also said with the attitude I was getting you can bet yer a$$ I won't bother to make a report if I come across another crime.
He changed his tune after my tirade and all was good.

I was looking at the ckx modulars, alot of negativity towards modulars in general due to safety on some forums. I think im going to pick it up anyways, looking at this thread, they seem to be popular.
A lot of people up here ride without helmets which to me is insane!!!
We have already had a local legend kill himself this winter because he was not wearing one.

I have had luck with the liquid polyurethane they use to hold windshields in cars nowadays.
I only use it for cracks and cuts in the tub of my ice hut.
For structural repairs I use good old fashioned nuts and bolts.
And usually some sheet aluminum.

I have a CKX modular with electric shield.
Similar to the Tranz 1.5. Not sure of the exact model as it's now 8 years old.
And still working fine.
It is pretty frosty where I'm riding and I would have big problems if I did not have the electric defogging capability.
Leaving the vents open does not help and only makes me cold. The only way to not have my shield fog up is to leave it open.
Not gonna do that @ -30 ambient.

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Sunday that the team has recalled goaltender Christopher Gibson from the Toronto Marlies (AHL). Jonathan Bernier will miss tonight’s game with flu-like illness and is not showing any signs of the mumps at this time. In addition, forward Leo Komarov has been placed on the seven-day injured reserve (retroactive to November 29) and the club’s active roster now sits at 23 players (13 forwards, 7 defencemen and 3 goalies). Gibson, 22, has appeared in 17 regular season games with the Marlies this season, posting a record of 6-9-2 with a 2.52 goals against average and 0.919 save percentage. The Karkkila, Finland native has yet to play an NHL game. Gibson was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round (49th overall) during the 2011 NHL Draft. -

No shortage of rinks up here.
The big ball diamond up the street is turned into a hockey rink surrounded by an outdoor speed skating oval by the city.
By my place there are a couple of rinks on Kam Lake and there is one down by the houseboaters in Yellowknife Bay.
Probably more I don't know about as well.
The city closes down the road 2 over from work for the winter so the kids can use the local granite hill as a sliding hill that ends up out on the road. They also have a gravel pit on the edge of town that is fenced in and is used for the kids to snow board on.

You can ship from BPS but not to Canadian store, they do often now have free shipping to Canada if you can wait.
Yep, he's correct.
Free shipping to Canada is only a $3.50 brokerage fee when it's on.
FYI, if you want to order an oversize item like that sled you will pay an oversize fee even when the free shipping deals are on.
When I purchase large items I usually order to a US store that I will be near when on vacation.

No different than a lot of places that don't mandate the use of helmets on motorcycles.
Florida is one of those places. I was talking to a local Tampa cop about it. I asked him why they would mandate the use of seatbelts but not helmets? His response was it had been tried (has to go to the public for a vote) and voted down several times. I said time to change the way you guys make laws in Florida.![:D](https://ontariofishingcommunity.com/uploads/emoticons/default_biggrin.png)
