  1. As a die hard Packer fan I have to say that was one game for the ages . From the highs of that hail mary pass

to the lows of Fitz running down the field , what a game . We got burned on a couple non calls in the 4th but that's

the way it goes . Rogers and the rest of the patch work team really stepped it up tonight and almost sent the Cards

home for the year . Anyways the best team one tonight but man did those Packers have fight !!!

Now on to next season and hopefully we will have a healthy one :good:

  2. Merry Christmas everyone . I will be down at YYZ (Pearson) for the next couple days doing my ramp duties for Air Canada .

Not a good time to be working but someone has to do it . It's a very hectic time down there right now to say the least .

    Cheers all :santa:

  3. For those that are interested and maybe be thinking on heading out on to the lakes somewhere Thursday morning .

Be on alert for damaging winds and stormy weather . There will be a squall line blowing through the area of southern

,central and northern Ontario early Thursday morning with wind gusts possibly reaching 100 km/hr out of the SW .

Hardest hit areas are predicted to be north of a line from Goderich to Barrie to Bancroft . Warnings from EC should be issued

for these areas in the next couple hours .

  4. Hope nobody got caught in any bad road situations this evening . Just got back from Orangeville and the roads are terrible .

Several vehicles in ditches and what looked like a head on just north of Orangeville on #10 . Looks like we got around 15-20 cm

here in north Dufferin today .

  5. Don't know which channel you're on, everything I've seen says less than 1 cm.

I have a bit of weather knowledge along with some friends in the " industry" some times these guys are wrong but most of the time they are always

on top of weather events in the area . Having said that , some squalls for Friday and some system snow for Saturday followed by more squalls Saturday

night into Sunday . Storm is still building on the west coast but should intensify as it moves east .

  6. For those lucky or unlucky folks (depends on how you look at it) that are heading out this weekend to do a little fishing

be aware that the Georgian Bay snow belts are expecting 15-30 cm of snow Friday - Sunday . Special weather statements

have just been issued for the Parry Sound area and down through Muskoka . The area will probably be expanding along with

some weather warnings being issued in the next day . Be prepared for winter driving conditions in this area over the weekend .

When it,s the only one in the lake, of course your going to catch it 5 times.LOL

    Thats amazing

I forgot to mention that Brian , every trip we only catch one fish .........LOL !!!

    Not really .

That's funny Dave. What are the odds, nice to see he goes back every year. Nice job looks like a nice lake! I'd like to try and catch Luke the laker one these years...

Thanks Joe , ya maybe get you in there next year !

    Two words of advice.

    Lotto Tickets! :)

I have been told that a couple times

That's excellent and congratulations, and as someone else suggested it certainly shows that C&R works.

My best was a musky I caught 3 times in one season and another was a musky I caught twice in a weekend.

Sure does Lew , sounds like you have a couple C&R stories yourself

Judging by the way you/your friends are dressed in the pictures, that fish likes that bay all year round!

Have never caught it on our annual spring trip , just in August and September !

  8. I've heard quite a few old timers say "naw, there's no use throw'n em back cause they die anyway"

    very cool story

Is that a natural or stocked lake?

Lots of people say this chris and it obviously is not the case . Live release works . This fish is a jig fish and its coming out of 50 ft of water during

the warmest water period (August/September) We tend to not bring them up too fast and try not to fight them hard around the boat (thats when they stress)

As well as a quick picture . I'm not going to lie but one of those times my friend dropped the fish in the bottom of the boat and it went under the seat and we

couldn't get it out for a bit , we thought she was a gonner but wouldn't you know it she slowly swam away and returned to our boat this past August alive and

well . These fish are more resilient then you think even when you unfortunately don't practice "good live release" at times

This is a natural lake trout lake chris .

Wow! So C&R is alive & well.

    Sure does !!!

That's impressive for sure! Pretty cool! You'd think it would learn to not bite, eh? LOL

    S.

Not to many people fish this lake so they don't see many lures

That's cool! What would be crazier is if you caught her on the same lure every year!

Actually we do , this is a jig fish coming out of 50 ft of water every time
