you need a larger group size of battery with a high reserve capacity we use the Deka batteries from lebarons and havent had a problem with them yet

i would for sure go and hire a guide , if your a new boater and new to the river, there is alot to know and look for , if you dont want to hire a guide i would wait till spring when the ice and logs and picnic tables are done floating down river out to the lake

i've heard alot of good things about the Cabelas brands of boots ($79) if you have a way of getting them to you without getting hit with heavy shipping and duty fees
I have the Simms Guide boots with the Vibram soles and am very happy with them , they have been through a lot and are still in great shape ($225)

you just need your regular hunting license , and you need a wild turkey course which are all likely happening soon , simple course , all common sense like the rest of them might even be able to register at the up coming show

Great take more guys down there next time, bring more newbies down there and tell the whole GTA while you're at it, looks like that's what you wanna do by posting the same report on every single fishing forum. Anything to get a free ride down there so you can save gas money. Did you catch your own fish this time ???

Niagara River Shore Fishing?
in General Discussion
Posted
i would look at something in the 9' range with a 4-10 or 6-12 line rating that way you'll be able to use it for trout in the boat and from bouncing from shore that rod will also cover throwing jigs or spoons if you want to do that , the rod you have will work but its no ideal for that type of fishing but i've seen much worse , just make sure you have a reel with a good drag
