  1. a couple things so far-

a perfect game by the refs until that Timoshov call, do the refs rewatch the games and try to learn from their mistakes? ridiculous, that guy should lose his job, he'd probably agree if he rewatched the game

Friedman said the aves are legitimate contenders, this game looks like an equal match up, maybe slight advantage Leafs

I like how Keefe consulted Freddie if he wants to play or rest, that makes sense to me, instead of bab's crap my way or the hiway, I'm the boss

  2. I actually thrive on that, "take your money and leave you in the outpost".

When the plane drops us off and leaves, I love that feeling of remoteness and isolation, we fend for ourselves, make due with what we have, around the nightly campfire we'll discuss what we need to do to make life easier for the rest of the week, and if we want to come back next year or recommend the place to others.

I give a bit of grace to the outfitters. Planes are very expensive to fly and maintain and the prices they charge I would consider a bargain.

  3. game review-

my wife and I haven't done one dinner, one movie, one show, nothing, alone together without my son since he was born and now he's almost 5, that's by choice because we both prefer to be together as a family, tonight's Leaf game was a first, just my wife and I

it was cool, I'm sure my wife liked the night out and the Canadianess of watching the Leafs on a Saturday night in TO with 20 k other people.

sitting in golds, the crowd looked good, way better than I expected, not many people in suits, lots of young people slamming beers, lots of people looking redneck, damn, it didn't work out, you could hear a pin drop, no rowdiness, no yelling, no banter with the Eichel jerseys, I don't get it,

a highlight of the night was after the game when a Sabres fan kid from Kitchener on the go train said I like your retro Clark jersey, I said "dude, this isn't retro, this is my generation" and we chatted for the rest of the ride, it was good, honest, polite conversation from 2 people who like different teams

it was cool but damn that, way too boring, way too quiet, no energy and no passion, its stuffed

They did get him fired and that is unprofessional and indicative of overpaid dancing monkeys but  the simple truth is they just ain't that good.

back your big darn mouth up with $ if they ain't that good

    Leafs make the playoffs?

Leafs finish ahead of the scabs, sens?

I don't even know what your team is, or if you even have one, probably just a troll hater like the rest of these posters

Mind you it wasn't very long back when you blew a fuse getting on someones case to the point you had to apologize the next morning, so I guess you could be the pot and the kettle.

    Cheers

I didn't have to apologize, Art didn't ask me to or anything, I did because I wanted to

like Don said, it's not educated discussions, it's mostly bwahh a haha laffs suck dick comments that get posted, it's dumb, it gets tiresome and frustrating, look at MM's post today, it's a typical example, trolling, looking to provoke somebody, hoping for a rebuttal and an argument

like Marzana said, the haters are just as interested in watching and posting about the Leafs as the Leaf fans are

I don't see much to brag about or much reason to pile on other fans, but whatever.

quote some examples of Leaf fans bragging on this thread? got any references?

there is no bragging, it's just discussing, we're all realistic, if you're not interested or it pisses you off, don't click on it, simple

piling on other fans, lol, that's like the pot calling the kettle black

Marner came out today and straight up said that he messaged babcock and thanked him for helping him become the player that he is.

I'd argue it could be damage control, he might be just happy to be rid of babs and doesn't want this story dragging on and doesn't want to come across as Mike Commodore

Who does what babs did to Marner? it's like high school girls, and 1 girl has stolen another girl's diary and shares it with the other catty girls, it's really darn gay and there's no chance for anything good to come from it, to me babs sounds like a stuffed up individual

    WHAT??

You're the same Laffite fan that was praising Babs as the second coming, the fix all of fixers,,,,,the savior lmao...….What a load of crap. The dysfunctional laffs and their desperate for a win fans are so out to lunch it's comical.

Babs probably has a totally different recollection of how this went sour and ended up in this never ending dumpster fire that is the laffs.

From what I see you had a coach come over from a classy org like the Wings and went to a bottom dwelling, poorly built team full of young, unproven spoiled teenagers who think their sh*@ doesn't stink. Add to that no defence and no goaltending and what was Babs supposed to do? Whining Matthews wants more ice time, whining Marner wants more money, whining Nylander wants more money......then all the little grit you had is traded away and what do you have?

A dysfunctional group of wannabe superstars that you can't coach and a GM who can't even grow facial hair who built a weak, sniffling whining team.

    And you blame the coach?????????

none of us know what went on behind closed doors, and Marner didn't break that story, some reporter did, Marner didn't seem like he wanted to even talk about this or sling mud at this point in his interview.

yeah, when babs came to Toronto I thought, wow, everything seems to be falling into place, and yeah, I thought of him as the saviour that might finally right this floundering ship

I've changed my tune, I've been calling for his head since we lost to Boston in the 1st round again last playoffs.  I didn't like a lot of bab's choices, he could be just an egotistical, pig headed monster on a power trip. I wouldn't be surprised if more stories surface.

A lot of die hard Wings fans say he should have won 3 plus cups instead of just 1 with the guys he had. They had some good scouts, but they pulled a lot of star players out of their ass with late round draft picks, a lot of luck is involved.

Thank you for clearing that up and good for you for supporting your friend as Im sure he has had a lot of people who didn't.

I'm sick of your sarcasm and pointed jab comments, you're the biggest political crap disturber on here, if you knew anything you wouldn't refer to my friend as a he

  10. funny story-

in high school, when crap teams were in town, we used to take the Go Train down to the Gardens and wait until the game almost started, then get tickets off scalpers for a decent price

We were sitting in steep Blue seats behind the goal on a Saturday night, it was 4 or 5 nothing STL when the Leafs finally scored late in the 3rd. Nobody except us stood up, I was rubbing my buddies head. The CBC camera was as big as a cannon, it swung around and pointed at us and the red light on top came on for a few seconds, then went off.

back at school the next week, from lots of people I didn't even know, it was "Dude, I saw you on TV"

  11. looky, looky what I picked up today

I haven't been in years because of the prices and all the people there are executroids that don't cheer or make noise

I was originally planning to indoctrinate my son, but at 4 years old  he's too young, it'll be me and my wife
