  1. when i dropshot for walleye i always use a jig instead of just a sinker. this way i can tip the dropshot hook with something different and you see what the flavour of the day is. it works great.
  2. thanks for the heads up on the sale 4 reel. i just got back from canadian tire and had to order one as they were sold out and today is the last day for the sale.will come in handy when i visit my brother in hamilton. hope it's a good one.
  3. every summer southerners get caught with more than their limit of walleye in the red lake and ear falls area. they usually just get a small fine. don't under estimate those conservation officers. they'll show up at the most unexpected places.
  4. my partner used them prefishing for a walleye tournament last week in red lake. he caught 3 walleye in less than 10 minutes with his rod just leaning over the boat. he was using the 3'' emerald shiners. my father in law used the 5'' shiners and he said they worked great.
  5. great report limey angler. i fished the derby this weekend and the fishing was unbelievable. came up a little short as those 18'' can be hard to come by. it was the best 4 days of fishing on red lake that i ever had.
  6. you have to question the saying" a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work" on that one . that"s pretty bad. hope you're little guy is ok. i got a treble hook from a wally diver stuck in my thumb once when a 4 ib pike started flopping in my boat while i was trying to release him. same thing, barb was buried could't yank it out. had to drive 2 hours to pickle lake to the nearest clinic. after a few needles to freeze my thumb they got it out. i laugh about it now, i wasn't at the time.
  7. are you referring to nungesser lake in red lake area? if so there's lots of great fishing up there. born and raised there. just left this summer and miss the walleye fishing
