http://www.evinrude.com/en-CA/engines/portables/portables.html#tab=1 Go new, you'll have a warranty and you'll know it wasn't abused. The Evinrudes are sweet as are the Honda .

Now that the Leafs are winning and look like they have a good road ahead, I have become a fan again. I have seen the error of my ways rooting for the senaturds and look forward to a long playoffs with the Blue and White. Go Leafs Go.

Yup, Karlsson, Method, Smith, Neil, MacArthur, all out. If the game against Minny didn't show the importance of Karlsson I don't know what would. Top 2 d pair out. Going to be ugly in Winnipeg tonight. And yes there is a definite possibility of not making the post season now.

My double haul is not too bad. The heavier line and needing to get it out 60+ feet in the wind was challenging. I had some good ones and some not so good ones lol. I could tell the guide was wishing I was a bit more experienced but hey, I didn't do too bad. He tried really hard to get me on to the permit and I appreciated it.

Yeah they said when the Tarpon are in the bay they are like 20lb max. Still would be an awesome fight. We chased around some permit but were not able to get them within range. Guide said a hook up with the ones we saw would be about a 40 min fight. Dang!!

There is an automatic penalty already for high sticking. If the ref thinks you attempted to injure he can give a game misconduct and you would have a review. Possibly leading to a suspension. Many slashes go without a penalty but breaking the stick or hitting the hands is a penalty already as well. So if you slash someone with the force enough to remove a piece of finger then the ref should have the right to say you attempted to, or caused a significant injury and you get a game ejection, misconduct and a hearing. Whats so wrong with that?

What a great week last week in Mexico. Barcelo Maya Beach resort was so amazing. Caught a nice Trigger fish off the rocks near the beach before being told "No Pesca a playa" LOL. Also got a one day excursion to Ascension bay for bone fish on the fly and what a day it was. Only took 2 pics of fish because the action was fast and furious. Biggest was about 4 lbs and they fight light frigging crazy, so awesome.. Had 2 of my own guides and they knew their stuff. Put me on fish all day long, Bonefish, Permit which were too spooked to bite, Barracuda, sharks and others.... I would do this again tomorrow if I could. Pesca Maya Lodge and their guides treat you right. But not cheap, was $610 US but included a pick up at the resort, breakfast, lunch on the boat, 5 hrs of fishing and a return ride to the lodge. Did a rappel into a Cenote , climbed ancient Mayan ruins, snorkeled the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world and swam and drank and walked the beach ect. You get the point. Some pics of the fish.

I think a slash on the stick that breaks a stick is a penalty. A slash on the hands that causes an injury like Methots deserves a suspension. The penalty should fit the crime and each player should be accountable for their actions, intentional or not. If the league allows injuries from slashes like this then I would say it's open season on Crosby as well. Where would it stop? These guys have spent most of their lives in a rink playing hockey at a level most of us can't even begin to relate to, they know what they are doing. I've always given Sid the benefit of the doubt but this play should have been a suspension. When a guy pulls off his glove and his finger is missing, why does that not compare to a high sticking where a guy bleeds and loses a few teeth?

You have missed the playoffs 10 of the last 11 years and are going to miss again. I'm not too worried about it!

I only cook at home with cast but after lugging my 15" cast iron 35kms into the park the last couple of years I said no more lol. Things gotta weigh 20lbs or more. These carbon steel pans are used by chefs in kitchens on gas flame all the time and will work just as well over a wood fire. And at less than 3.5lbs it will be a lot friendlier on the person carrying it on their pack.

Looks like the resort has day trips for bonefish for $600 US, transportation included. Just what I was looking for. http://www.pescamaya.com/en/daytrips.html

Thanks I have a St.Croix travel spinning rod and a penn frc6000 spooled with 80lb pp. I will be bringing some 150lb fluoro muskie leaders and some storm wildeye swim shad and other baits. Also will be packing a few smaller hooks for the reef fish. Thanks for the advice.

I'm going to Barcelo Maya Beach on Saturday and have been looking for fishing opportunities in the area. I've seen videos and advertising for Ascension bay but that is 100k away and getting there is an issue. I would have to rent a car or hire a shuttle bus and it would be like $400 to do that so that's out. Was wondering if anyone had stayed at this resort and knew anything about fishing the beach area? I stayed 50km up the coast last year at Iberostar Lindo and fishing from the beach was pretty good for Bonefish and needlefish and other small reef fish.

This one is French as well. A lot of seasoning to do but it will be put through the paces. Going to try to alter the handle with a hinge system that will allow it to fold.

You call 51 years a rough patch????????? bahahahahaha

Have you seen my beer gut? Not a chance I'd fit into that.

I've been looking for a while for a good, light weight frying pan to use for my Algonquin park portage and canoe excursions. I looked everywhere and googled places in the states and Canada for a pan. They were hard to find and not cheap, usually in the $100-$150 range. I was in the Ottawa scout shop looking for one and all they had was cast iron, which was the usual conclusion when searching. A customer overheard me and recommended a place in Ottawa called Russell Kitchen supply. I immediately went down and found exactly what I was searching for. A 15" wide 2-3/4" tall pan with a long handle. It's carbon steel and very durable, perfect for on an open fire. It had a scratch on the inside and a couple on the bottom so the clerk gave it to me for $13......??????wow Can't wait to try this baby out in the bush.

Toronto fans new underwear from the owners
-
That was January. I will admit the attendance this year wasn't like the previous years selling out every game. Fans were pissed off at the changes, the lack of spending by the owner and losing a few popular players. The attendance has been a lot better and after taking over first place by sweeping a road trip, I would bet it will only be sell outs for the remainder of the year. Unlike laffs fans who support 51 years of sucking and losing, Sens fans(and every other team in the league) send a message to the ownership that they are not happy and changes are made.
