  1. If you just want to try it, then rent them a few times to see how much you really like it. If you want to actually make it a method of fishing, then spend the way you would on your other serious pursuits.

    There are free demo days all across the province this summer.

    One thing for certain is that you will have no problem getting rid of a good fishing kayak, should you decide later on that it isn't for you.... that's why you can't find a good used one.

    12' or shorter for small rivers, small lakes and ponds. 13' and longer for larger rivers, lakes and the great lakes.

    good luck!

  2. Can't help you on Ontario Place parking, except that their lots were all empty close to the show.

    12 skins for parking. :(

    I just got back a half hour ago. I'd say it's slightly better than a lot of recent ones with regards to decent sale items. Some good deals on quality baits and lures. Everything else seemed per norm.

    Hot buy - Gulp $18ea. I won't say who, but they're in Hamilton.

  3. Went fishing at Port Albert today after not seriously fishing it for a number of years now. Saw 8 fish landed... 5 by one guy <_< .... he was the only one with chartreuse roe bags. I had a brief hook-up on a streamer, but that was it.

    I drove back towards Blyth and stopped at one of my favourite spring steelie creeks to check things out. Lots freshies' moving around in the dirty water.

    I also found this cute little dude hanging around;

    not sure if it is a marten or a fisher? I'm sure someone here will know. He had a little spat with his wife over the rock bass he caught, but I wasn't camera-ready to catch it.

    It was pretty cool to watch it mow down the fish without it knowing I was looking at it.... wish I'd had the better camera.
