Crown Battery makes decent ones. I have a 6 year old one and it still holds it's charge like the day I got it. Crown Battery is in Woodbridge ( the one I go to ). It faces Hwy 7 west of the 400 but the entrance is off of Trowers Rd.

Ford just announced today that they are scaling back truck/SUV manufacturing in favor of car/crossover production.

looks like a little stream I fished once in a while in Markham I think it was when I had to sit around in the truck waiting for a pick up at a customer

Not one of those guys seemed awfully excited to catch those fish.

Durham CA has some brook brown and rainbow trout in the river there. There are a number of small lakes in the area but only 2 I know of with a launch/public access, Bells Lake northwest of Markdale and Wilcox lake southwest of Flesherton Both are on paved 'back' roads and a Grey/Brucemap should give the exact location. As for fish I haven't fished in either
Hope this helps

I am not in any way asking you to click the google ads (that would be a violation of the terms of service) but I believe clicking is all they count.
10-4 I try and click at least one each visit especially if they are fishing related. I actually have one bookmarked that was a google ad. Thanks for the hard work on the site, everyone appreciates it.

Little late for you but Sunday the lower was high and fast but receeding and a bit murky. The upper was moving nicely but still a lot of water moving through there.

There's gotta be a dutch store or 10 around Toronto area, we have 2 in London there's one In Chatham, one in Burlington, one in St. Catharines that I know about, but it's just not the same as the "fresh" stuff from over there!

Is it Bob? Carl? Steve? Could be a pumpkinseed / longear hybrid.

RIck is there a certain length of time you need to stay at a google ad for it to be counted, or do you just need to click, let it load and then hit back?

night ferry from there often over to hull to vitist my folks in the UK.
The 7th pic from the top Just of to the right is the Hoek v. Holland ferry terminal Saw one boat take off and one come back. Their size puts the Tobermory-Manitoulin ferry to shame.

We stayed in Westland, Naaldwijk to be more specific. (between Delft and Den Hague)
Do you need a license to fish over there? Not for fishing in the sea but you do for freshwater.

Part 2, Das Boot
Das Boot!
Our ride for wreck fishing
Heading out of the harbour only 40 more miles to go!
This guy disturbed our fishing for a few minutes. It was about 350 meters long and kicked up about 3 meter waves
Vertical jigging is the way to get these guys with live bait rigs (super sized ones again) or with jig and plastic minnows . (don't get snagged on the shipwrecks)
really fun when you have 2 on at once.
I ended up with 10 altogether best about 5lbs but there were some big ones caught and between the 12 guys on the boat we kept about 40kgs once they were all fileted.
Made for one giant fish fry on Tuesday!
Getting ready for the trip home
What's a trip to Holland without a picture of a windmill! Here's where they keep them now.
Anyone headed to Goderich to the Maitland R. heres what it looks like from 12kms up.

Here it is complete with a lot of pics.........
Nice airline for a flyin trip
Over the Atlantic somewhere east of England
Setting up on the beach for some low tide night fishing
This reel was an Okuma but most were Shimano 10000 just huge reels
All set up waiting for fish. The rods are on stands about 5' high. We were using about 4oz weights and a home made kind of super sized double pickeral rig (weight on the bottom 2 dropper lines)
One of 5 small cod we caught. I got this guy and another about the same size. Too early in the year for sea bass.
Saturday afternoon we went to one of the shipping channels near Europoort (Europe's largest container port)
Little John working hard with a big casting rod
Watching the ships come and go
Theo and John with the only cod we got, one of three we saw caught that day
jjcanoe Part 2 to follow

Nice to see some pics from up there and hardly any snow left on the ground. I lived up there for a summer in 1987 as a Junior Ranger worked a lot at Tidewater P.P. and took a few floatplane rides to north point, Polar bear P.P. and Akamiski Island. Saw a beluga in the river headed upstream one day at the park while painting picnic table and cutting grass.

Hey Pauly, if we try hard enough maybe we can get John out of the house some weekend for fishing!
John, got the boat out of storage today. I was thinking of going to LPB today since I was half way there but it looks a little grim and really windy. Fishing from the couch today!
-Brian
Sorry to hear that. It was 22C and sunny when we took to the sea for some cod on Friday. Report to follow next week when I get back. BTW enjoy the snow on Wednesday!!
