  1. I had a group do a fly out one day in July, the morning was slow and in the afternoon i wanted to try something different so i found a couple reefs and put on the 5 inch leech on a jighead and drifted to the bottom of the reef from the top and every pass we hit bass after bass......it was a wild afternoon.....i caught 16 myself and i was the guide so my guests just had a blast.....lost count how many fish we hooked that afternoon....so they seem to work....caught a few walleyes on them this summer as well....so they definately work.....

  2. Well after this summer......and seeing what a 15-20 pound pike looks like.......I would say on average a 15 pound pike would be about 38" and a 20 lber would be about 42".......your regular every 36" will usually go about 10-12 pounds.....now I didnt see the picture and im not judging anything but it must of had to be a really thick 36" to make 15 but then again.....you read your scale none of us did so really we cant say anything.........thx for the report.....please post again......dont worry i had the same problem when i reported my trophy count half way through the summer with no pictures.....i got told if theres no pic it aint real......you just have to laugh it off....YOU were there.....YOU measured/weighed the fish.......YOU know how big it really was and that is all that is important.....who cares if some joker comes on and tells you your fish wasnt as big as you say it was.....he dont know.....he wasn't there.....till next time,

  3. ive fished long point my entire life and every year ive noticed a difference......too many ppl are goin out and filling their livewells with these fish and it damages the fish population.....there is no doubt in my mind that the big ones are there it is just becoming harder and harder to find these fish and if something isn't done soon we may not even have a solid bass fishery......just one mans opinion and i wish i could do something about it.....i know all i can do is release the fish i catch and hope for the best for years to come...

  4. I went fishing down at the point the other day.....on the upside the fishing was good we caught 60 perch in the morning and 12 bass in the afternoon.....what i have noticed is that all the bass seem to be about the same size....and this is due to people keeping those 3-5 pound breeders.....i think a good idea for that area would be to have something like any fish over 18 inches must be returned to the lake.......becuz if this keeps up there wont be anymore fish there......anybody in agreeance?
