  1. We have a 57" rear projection Toshiba that we bought in 2002....we just had to replace some board due to an irritating zig-zag on the screen but it only cost us ~ $300 (that includes the part, labour and travel time to come out to the rural area we live in)...I figure that's not too bad given that this TV is 6 yrs old :clapping:

  3. Thanks guys....I'll check it out....the 2 places I found are about 1hr past Mont Laurier. We'll most likely pick one of these and spend 1 day snowmobiling to Devil Mountain (Montagne du Diable)!!...the first one has big pike and walleye...trout is closed...

The second one has walleye and brookies...

    FISH-ON!!!!

  4. I just found a place 3 hrs north from here....chalet style cabins, ice huts, HOT TUB :thumbsup_anim: and the lake has Brookies and Walleye...

My son, son-in-law and I have planned our 2nd annual ice fishing weekend for Jan 25 - 27th...I called the lodge yesterday and was advised that the lake is still open and they haven't put any ice huts out yet...they also said that they were not very optimistic with the ice conditions for the weekend that we booked if they go by the extended weather forecast :wallbash:

We can't change the dates now because my son-in-law already bought his ticket to fly up here from Atlanta...

Does anyone have any recommendations?? :worthy::worthy: We are looking for a 2 bedroom cottage with a heated ice shack and originally were targeting Lakers, Whitefish and Walleye....We would really like to stay within a 3hr drive from Ottawa if possible....

    Thanks,

    Steve

  5. One of the local lads out here decided to get his truck washed on New Year's eve...he was extremely lucky that he was only in 4' of water....the backhoe went in too :wallbash:

They finally got both vehicles out at 8:00PM New Years day..... :clapping: ...here's some pics

The backhoe wasn't heavy enough to get the truck out, so they brought the BIG GUN in :thumbsup_anim:

  6. Hi Folks,

I joined OFC back in October, but haven't joined in on any topics or discussion...so just to start the New Year right, I'm sayin' hello and will do a short introduction... :blahblah1:

I live on the Ottawa River just North West of Ottawa...I target almost all species of fish, but my main species are Muskie and Trout...I caught 2 PB's in 2007 that I would like to share with you all..the first pic is a 54"x24" Muskie I caught last fall..the 2nd is a trophy Brookie caught last April

Thanks to Greencoachdog for helping me with resizing the pics!!!
