We payed $1950/man, we payed our down payment it locked-in the cheaper price. It's up to $2300/man currently. They have cabins, fairly new to. The camps been given a major upgrade. So now has Wi-Fi, hot-cold running water. The dining room kitchen is a shared common area.

Thanks for the report, sounds like awesome fishery. Haven't fished French River in a while you never know what's biting there.

I'm a bit new to this forum. Was curious if anyone else has plans for a trip up north this summer? If so where and when are you going. Were my friend and I are going to Beteau a section of the Attawapiskat Rive quite a ways north of Nakina the 3rd week in June. A rather remote river known for pike and walleye. Should be quite an adventure it's145 air miles in. So what's your plan(s)

Smelt good eating when fresh. We sure don't get them like we used to in the Niagara River. They also make great bait for pike and lake trout. Apologies for mess up just learning the site.

I second that, caught some big steelhead and browns in the lower Niagara. There a lot of Charters out there as well. The best time for lower Niagara is the fall, unless looking for summer smallmouth. -

I would highly recommend Lake Erie for walleyes, perch, bass. If you google Erie Base Marina or Buffalo, small boat Harbor I'm sure there are tons of them. I mean w/o going to NWO it's as good of walleye fishing as your going to get. I see them down there but don't know them personally. If you want to do a day trip to Chautauqua in southwest NYS try this link, they are best known for musky's try https://www.chautauquareeloutdoors.com/ Great Musky guide -
It is a bit daunting being such a big open bowel, even the bays are very big. We found it to be a definite Big fish lake. It's also an almost uniquely beautiful lake. It has cliffs and palisades rising up hundreds of feet out of crystal clear water. Just a note it's quite you bring a boat. Mines only 16.5 deep-V and I wish it were a bit bigger on Nipigon (or Erie). PM me if you want?

I don't fish that area off Ontario. However until you pull the trigger for boat consider getting some waders. They will greatly enhance your shore fishing capabilities. Also fun way to fish from shore is to target up land stream trout. You find creek-small river with lots of public access or get access from the farmer. Usually if you walk the creek bottom you shouldn't need permission only if you go up on shore. It's fun and you can explore a bit. Then when you shop for a boat 1st do you plan on fishing alone or with or 1 or 2 others. It'd better to get a slightly larger boat but if fishing alone you want to insure it's not to big to handle alone. If you target bass you want a floating dock (bass-boat), or if trolling for lakers or walleye then a deep-V for stability while trolling. Then comes storage can you park it? Don't hesitate the learning curves not bad and you likely won't regret it. I started with a square back canoe, went up to 14' runabout and now have a modest 16.5' Lund

There Air Cochrane likely the closet that goes into real remote areas in the east. They are a pretty lousy outfitter with no amenities including a water pump not. And leaky boats with some questionable motors. I began going to NWO again and the fishing great and it's more beautiful the north eastern James - Hudson's Bay lowlands. Good luck caution with Ivanhoe Outfitters as well. A gem is Kesagami Lodge but it's very expensive. Went there once and caught 60 to 100 walleyes/ per boat per day. Big pike also including some tankers.

the only thing it is a an extremely large lake full of shallow hazards even coming out water >>100'deep.So it can take a while to find them. Then depending on temps and seasonal conditions they move around a bit. We never had a bite for 3 days then killed them. Many very dangerous rocks glad I brought an extra prop. Fish finder said 8' FOW, bang rock out of nowhere and off went 2 blades from my prop and part of my skeg. Just letting you know it's impossible to be too careful and thats hard when your anxious to move between spots. But big lake big fish.
