  1. Anyone fish the Goulais River. Gonna be doing some pike fishing thier and I have absolutley no information on the river. I have tried to research some stuff on the net and can't really find to much info. If anyone can post or pm me with a couple pointers or something, that would really help me alot. And I will be shore fishing so it will be a bit of a challenge but i'm up for it.

  2. Whopper that's not what I meant. I meant that they could have fish from last year in there freezer and nobdy would be able to tell that its from this year. And the invite plan is a good idea but I'm not ever going fishing with them again. If I keep seeing all there crap laying aorund i'm going to pick it all up and dump it infront of thier house and see how they feel.

  3. Earlier this season with the nice weather me and my brother in law decided to take out one of his freinds from work to our little favourite trib spot. It was a nice little quite place were not too many people fish. The fishing has slowed down in the past couple years but it still produces decent fish. Well Just last week we found out that his freind has been going there and fishing (Nothing wrong with that) but he told him that he caught 26 carp and 12 suckers and over 10 bass in the weekend. My brother in law told him that's usally common thing to catch those kind of fish down there. But then when he said he had a alot of cleaning to do really stired up the convo. He asked cleaning? He said ya he took all the fish and then went back the next day and caught more again. Well first of all he told him that bass is out of season but he didn't seem to care. Then he told him that's ridiculous to take the amount of fish home. But he didn't really care. Anyways we went down to the trib to check the spawning pike and low and behold we found a mess. Empty beer cans everywhere worm containers, it was just discusting. I'm never going to share any of my spots anymore. It's just sad to see people taking all these fish and leaving a big mess behind. If I ever go down thier again and see them with those fish the mnr will surely be getting a call from me I don't even care If they stay mad at my brother in law. Just to show you people keep your spots to yourself and ones you trust

  4. Neat fish to catch. I caught alot of them on the grand river on a minnow and bobber. And a few on topwater lures. I remeber fishing the old mill at Caledonia and there would always be a crap load of them spawning thier and some of them were over 10lbs easy.

  5. Well it all started off Friday night at Dunnville. We were in search of big cats and they only thing we seemed to get were small kitties. After a while we got bored and decided to try for some night carp and I didn't have any success but my brother in law got a few small ones. Even tho we didn't manage to land alot of fish we still had a great time.

So after getting home around 6:30am I went to bed and then was up at 11 and then went perching with my dad down to Port Dover. We got their and there wasn't too many people on the pier fishing. Winds were strong and were blowing North East turning the perch off. Then we went carping to a small grand river trib. The carp were biting like crazy at first but my brother in law kept losing them at shore. After about losing 6 my sister finally landed were first carp. As for me I landed a couple as well.

  6. Hey thanks for the info rizzo. I beleive i heard of that lake before and drove past it. We got some reservations for the summer for a couple camp sites and will be renting a boat. But as for the long weekend where just looking to find a place to chuck some baits around. Not planning on renting a canoe although it would be alot easier to travel. Althought one time we did find a nice little river jsut somewhere before moon river and caught a few decent fish. It was quite a long time ago and I can't remeber the place. But anyways thanks for the info. I'll be sure to research those locations. B)

  7. Me and my brother in law are planning on going up north for two days on the next long weekend for some pike. Where looking for a lake river or creek around the muskoka or parry sound area. Were not going to any resort, we jsut wana pitch out a tent somewhere or sleep in the car for two days. I did this a couple times with my dad in the summer but every place we found had no fish and we have no boat. This year I'm looking to plan it out a little better and find a place were we can fish and camp out for the night. Can anyone recommend a area around the muskoka or parry sound region where you can just pitch out and camp for a couple days. I'm not really looking for any specific fishing spots but just somewere where we can relax for the night and do some fishing. Because most places thier are private and where not to familar with the area. Any info would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

  8. Dam wasn't expecting a pic like that!! My dad caught a 13lb walleye in a trib we fish for pike that is no more then 4 feet deep. The walleye was big and chunky and it only had 1 eye. Weird but it was nice clean and healthy (except for the 1 missing eye lol). Sometimes it's funny where you can catch trophy fish. Thanks for sharing B)
