I cant seem to control, the line coming off my reel. It either overuns or I dont get any velocity.

Can anyone give me some tips?

    Reel setup? Preffered line? Anything.

  5. Joey.....nice!!!I sold my Super Sixty2 to my buddie over the winter. Had it calibrated by a guy in Scarborough about 20 years ago and it still works!

But I would love to have an HD-8!!

Never owned enough to be able to make a decison, but having to pitch out the 32 bucks is like them rubbin your nose in it.

  6. Got out last night after work off of Bronte, east wind came up in the PM and started to make things kinda lumpy out there.

i think what they say about winds from the east fish bite the least.

Most fish we spotted where in the 120 to 140 ft mark 40-65 down.

Marked alot of fish but lock jaw for us for the first few hours.

Here is the best bait we found, worked it over 4 times

I would love to see what this looks like on an HD-8 in downscan.

Just a hair shy of 40 inches but slim, fought like a much bigger fish as he hugged the bottom and dogged it out.

My best king of the year but then again I have been hitting the blue zone for the last month.

but like a bonehead I forgot to take a picture with my tourney sign!!!!!! DOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

    Sorry team 4!

  7. Not worth your time in that area, best to head east 30 minutes and get past Kingston and into the river.

The reach is pounded by people trolling cranckbaots in the fall and I still have not heard of a muskie coming out of this stretch ( tho they must be a couple)

I have always wondered this too , why there isnt more ski's in this stretch.

  8. Me too Brian.

I have 2 large bucks on the property I am hunting.

I might apply for the elk hunt next year since I know a fair amount of farmers north of Belleville and I have a few years of Elk under my belt.

Great deal on game cams at BPS next week.

  9. Mississauga-20110716-00011.jpgFor the last week I have been taking advantage of the flat water on Lake O to run offshore in search of a big trout for Team 4.

On thursday evening I was the only boat on the water in 350 feet of water straight out from credit. I think it was one of my favourite evenings on Lake O, it was flat and calm and as far as we could see there were surface feeding alewives for miles. We trolled with lines down 15 feet and went 7 for 9 in two hours of fun filled airborne action. 4 of the fish were cohos in the 10-12 pound range, plus a bonus 11 pound bow.

Unfortunatly I ddint have a camera , my buddy kept a 10 pound coho for the smoker.

This morning we returned and could not find any bait so i went west hopuing the east wind yesterday blew the fish down the lake, found them in 250 and only went 3 for 5 but the 2 cohos were 10 pounds and the bow I estimated at 16-18 pounds. biggest bow in ages and maybe ever for me.

    Enjoy!
