  1. Hope I did not imply "Safe Ice" thread? Is there such a thing? I guess it takes a bit more education than the potential users which may take a pinned post about Ice Conditions as Safe Ice. No worries, I probably should have known better than to make a suggestion.

We have always encouraged people to make suggestions however if it is one that we decline to act on please do not be offended. Responsibly and liability plays heavily in all of our decisions here.

  2. I have bunk boards on all of my boats including a 18ft ranger bass boat with 150. That thing was impossible to push off unless it was 3/4 floating. I found a product called Liquid Bunk Roller and sprayed it on the bunks. I went to launch the boat the next time and if it was not for the safety strap it would have ended up on the ground. I can launch it wet or dry with just a light push it is crazy how well this product works. I replaced my tie downs with a seatbelt type strapping system and a chain just to make me comfortable about how easily it slides.

  4. Thanks Solopaddler for the info. down here it is very rare that we use any type of leaders. We have very few clear water places around here and the only time I put a leader on is when I am fishing braid and then it is only a piece of mono. Up North I use Braid and tied directly to my pike lures and I do not see any sign of shying away from the lure. I however find my bass catch seems to go up with a mono leader. Is the aggressive bite of the Pike enough to over ride need for stealth leaders? Are the eyes of the Bass better than the Pikes or is their attack cautious enough to make a difference?

  6. That ham is both artistic as well as delicious I am sure. I have a pot of red beans with rice bubbling as we speak. The cornbread with jalapeños and sweet butter is making a sweet smell now. Down to Joes shortly for the rest of our dinner for 17 people.
