Way cool Mike! Putting together another fall order of Handlebarz.
Folks love your baits!

Open water carp love jerkbaits and other body baits. They will eat a tube or and other plastic in a heart beat. Gets your heart pounding when you set on one of those monsters as a big smallie smashes jerkbaits the same.
By open water I mean off shore fish, deeper big water.

If we can get together 10 million, open our own distributing company to supply our retail, we can compete and be 100% Canadian. Any takers?
Have the model to gear it fully toward the Canadian angler / hunter.

AS a youngster I was taught "the bigger the better" and "if it's brown it's down"
Someone opened my mind to other more "ethical" practices that I now use and "offer" to share with those who I think may be interested in entertaining them.
I usually start with the "Hey, ya know the smaller ones taste a lot better"

Great read, Nice fish.

Ask a question and look like a fool for five minutes, don't ask and be one forever.

Consider that stolen. Awesome.

Generally your looking at about $100 a day + gas. Most wont do an hourly rental (though they may have a half day rate). I've rented from Harrison's boat works many times and they've been great but I'm sure there's other good ones as well.
Harris Boat Works - wish it was Harrison
x2, great folks, use their launch whenever I fish Rice.

Well done Mike!

If you go out of Darlington i can give you a run down before you launch if I am free.

Hey their you meant spelling?
Whitty.
Phil, used to be sponge, learnt a lot fishing with many of the best and on the water whenever I had a second. Love all species except catfish, not 100% sure why, but for some reason they remind me of an ex.
Have two lil monkeys 4 and 6 that are my pride and joy now. They eat up my fishing time, but I am way ok with that.
Been around here since OFC was a fading spec in Mr. TJ's cranium and you had to fire up the ole Commodore 64 then decide between OFC or Burning Rubber.
Good fishing.

No leader here, just a swivel for twist.

Soggy for sure, a weekend of constant sorrow.

I think the main issue is you are letting other fisherman tell you what the fish are doing. Let the fish tell you on each given day. This of course will come easier as your experience grows, but IMO you will become a much better angler if you rely on the fish more so then "dock talk"

Just a quick thanks for the mentions, inspiring to say the least. Just had our one year B-Day at eTackle.ca, it's been an amazing year - growing pains and all!
We're working hard to bring our customers more top brands and products. Lots more coming from us soon!
Including a 'lil "something, something" for OFC members.

ckrb2007, when you are closer to pulling the trigger fire me a PM, I've owned a few and been in and out of all different brands of bass boats over the last 15 years or so and have friends with every brand.
One thing I will say, do not go less then a 19fter/200hp, you WILL get the "itis". Just personal experience, especailly where you live and the water close.
Serious about the PM.
As for Nitros, great boats, owned two of them. Loved the 19'6 896 Savage, awesome big water boat.
There was some problems with some of the glass and gel coat that was fixed under warranty, besides that is was good.
Hands down #1 for me is a Ranger with Bass Cat a close second.

Just wasn't in the cards this year, but would love to bring my girls to the 2013 event. You can count on eTackle.ca's support as on going.

I am not afraid of bears, I am however very nervous around bears that are not afraid.

Only glow baits I have ever done well with are spoons off the pier or casting from a boat at night for salmon.
Not saying glows would not work for other species at night, but I prefer Black/Dark Profile larger baits.

decent fishing lake with easy access to the rest of the bancroft district when the bug to try a different lake bites.

There's a sweet deal to be had you see
First dibs on place with bedrooms three
Is fishing there any good?
Would you buy if you could?
Please share your experince there with me
I was just offered a sweet deal and I'm researching it for my family who is thinking of going north. . I fished there years ago, but forget much of the expereince. I do remember having to launch at the Marina. Is there other launches? Is it a busy lake?
Anyone have any bad experiences there?
Thanks,
Phil

Hydro fields in Pickering offer a large range of terrain. Especially where the fields meet Duffins Creek. Fav area of mine for training was the Hydro field at top end of Valley Farm Rd in Pickering.
