  2. Hey man, You're wasting your time on Quinte if you're looking for Crappie. You're better off to hit some back lakes, or the Kawartha's. Does a trophy Walleye interest you at all? Ice fishing is ON FIRE right now on the Bay!

  4. Hey everyone, Just thought I would share the amazing past few days I've had! I had the honor to fish with and film and episode of "Real Fishing" with Bob Izumi!! I have to say that he is a TOP NOTCH guy! A class act, all the way. We had an amazing few days on the water, and landed a ton of fish, along with some MONSTERS!!! (Including my new PB Walleye of 12.3 lbs) Instead of re-posting our blog, here is the link to it (along with a bunch of pictures). http://g2angling.com/en/blogs/ Enjoy! *Stoty

  13. That's great Cosmos! Yes.... Bass Pro didn't have a lot of stock with Northland stuff. I was also very disappointed! Thanks for the great feedback on our seminar's! We do our best to try and present things in a way that people will easily understand.
  14. LOL!
  15. Great to hear Cosmos! Grant is one of the most knowledgeable anglers out there right now. I personally have learned so much from him! Glad you enjoyed it!
  16. How did you know it was a G2 vehicle? Is that a good "interesting" or a bad "interesting"?
  17. LOL!
  18. I'll be there first thing this morning! My business partner Grant McAllister is going to be putting on an amazing seminar on ice fishing. Techniques, electronics, etc! It should be a great day at Radioworld! If you can make it over there... make sure you do!
  19. I'm sure most of you know this already but this weekend is a HUGE Ice Fishing weekend with a couple big events going on! Today only - Radioworld (hwy 400/steeles) is hosting a big "Ice Fishing Seminar & Product Expo". There will be numerous pro's on hand doing seminars and product demonstrations! Be sure to get there if you have ANY questions about your electronics! Today & Tomorrow - Bass Pro Shops is hosting their annual "Ice Fishing Weekend". There will be multiple pros' and reps from a bunch of different companies on hand with seminars and walking around the floor talking to customers! I'll be at Bass Pro Shops both days representing Clam & Northland Tackle, so if you see me, please feel free to stop and say hi! Hope to see you all there! *Stoty (Jamie Stothart)
  20. Haha, Johnny! Again...just be VERY careful right now!! If you're not familiar with the Bay of Quinte...DO NOT go out!! It's not worth the risk! Wait another week or two and let it tighten up!

  22. Ice Fishing Report (Dec 9th) Given the cold temperatures of late, we decided to head out to one of our “first ice” areas to check the ice conditions. Much to our surprise, the ice thickness was much more than we thought it would be (2 1/4 – 2 3/4 of HARD black ice). We slowly spudded our way out to the spot and within seconds, the Vexilar lit up like a Christmas tree (Tis the Season)! From 3:30pm to 5p.m, 8 fish were landed between two of us and sizes ranged from 2lbs-6lbs. All Eyeballs were taken on a combination of Northland’s new Fish Fry Minnow Spoon (1/4 Oz Dace/Chub) and Northland Tackle’s Macho Minnow (1/4 oz Super Glo FT). Northland Fish-Fry Minnow Spoon Dace Chub Outside of the excellent fishing there is a much more important matter that needs your attention! Safe ice for US, may not be safe ice for YOU. It is a personal preference. Although we had no issues getting out to our location, as there was no snow on the ice, there were still several noticeable areas that were certainly unsafe. I advise anyone that is planning to go out in the near future to exercise EXTREME caution whether you are familiar with the area or not. Here is a quick pic of some of the Eyeballs!!!!
