Good day. I would like to get some help on polishing my Princecraft Amarok boat which has a bare aluminum bottom. I have read that some polishes are not to be used on anodized aluminum. Most of the boats these days do use anodized aluminum on their hulls to my understanding. Last fall, the dealer used some chemical called Slimy Grimy to remove heavy stained algae on my hull which lead to the (aluminum hull) to become somewhat white in colour. They use this product often with great results and I was told it does not damage the boat. I would like some help from the forum on how to restore that aluminum silver shine my boat had before. Good Day to all. I needed some help with removing a Mercury lower unit. The motor is a 2016 Mercury 90hp 4 stroke. I need to remove the lower unit to get the fin repaired. Over the years I have done one on an older motor, but this one scares me a bit since it's almost new outboard. I have read on line that the shifter has to be in forward gear position before removing the lower unit. Some say Neutral l is the the better way . Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks to everyone fore responding. Fit and finish on the Princecraft was way better than the G3. On the G3 the carpeting around the console was missing some staples and it looked like it was rushed. I also, looked at the 2016 Lowe 165 WT today what a nice boat. They are priced to sell but, most come rigged with a 60hp... its a bit underpowered for that boat I think. They are rated for up to 90hp. But, 90hp was extra $4,000. Its an amazing experiance to be looking and touching these boats. To make the right decision, would be taking each one on the water. That's, how its done in my opinion.

I was hoping to get some help in purchasing a new boat. I can't decide between a 2014 Angler 164 G3 F series boat with 70 Yamaha and a 2016 Princecraft Nanook with 90hp Mercury. Both a brand new boats with walk through. Difference in price is the Princecraft is $4,000 more. No other goodies with either of the boats.

Maybe 6hp would have been a better choice. But the price was attractive.

Just bought a brand new (2015 Yamaha 2.5 hp) for $795 plus tax. Planning to use it as a trolling motor on a 16' Princecraft Resorter boat 650 lb gross weight. Will it be good enough to do the job? Thanks
