  1. Good Idea? maybe <_< .... Gimmick ? << ... I think so.

I wonder if they actually studied this or just marketed the net?

Probably had left-over '' Jelly Shoes " melted them down and made nets out of them..

Might work better in clear water...who knows ..screw it ! I'm ordering one!

  2. Here's my buddy's boat 2006 scarab 36' 2x blown 572 chevy = 1500 horsepower 2.5 GALLONS TO THE MILE..top speed of 110 on a 6" chop... the engines alone are worth 68.000$ ...

The 2005 f-250 is worth 49.000$....when you're an engineer for Lougheed Martin you can afford anything!

Deemed to be " The Fastest Boat on Nipissing"...and probably the hardest on gas!!

The cost of it to run for a Weekend is the monthly mortgage payment on a 150.000 $ house.

Useless to fish from.. or even water ski...

  3. what the heck? <_<

  4. I ve done it a 100 times and have failed about 10 times because of the winds... but i've figured it out. fishin' in the open on lake Nipissing gets to be very very windy..

I've made 2x4 subframes on hinges that the tent sits on they are foldable and pretty light..

i then spike the subframe to the ice.. this helps prevent the tent from freezing to the ice and tearing when it's time to pack up..old canvas tents with metal poles seem to work best.

you can make your subframe a little longer at the ends so that the tent poles can sit into pre drilled holes.. took me a few tries to figure it out...now tie a rope to the subframe and you can pull it anywhere ya want. can even make skis for it... a pair of X country would do.

when you cut your tent floor leave at least 10" around the walls ... fold some tuck tape over the edges of your cut .. helps to prevent fraying... :Gonefishing:

  5. for the boat.

tools... small tool kit .. pliars, little wrenches and screwdrivers..hammer...prop nut wrench.

    spare pull cord

    plugs & plug wrench

    spare drain plug.

    duct tape.

wire and spare fuses, navigation light bulbs.

TECH STEEL...made by northland part # 16002 epoxy putty ,will fix a tear or a big enough leak

in about 5 minutes about 6.00$ per tube. it's saved the day for me twice now.

    and yer emergency kit.

    Trailer;

i bring a spare hub, pre- packed with grease.. costs 28.00 $ @ any Benson comes with all you need to change on the side of the road.

Spare Tire ..and matching lug wrench.

    hydraulic 1 ton jack.. ..

    bulbs.

piece of 2x8 to rest the jack on .

    portable compressor..

    :Gonefishing:

...you said "S" hooks on the safety chains,, i'd replace them with a clevis ..

cross yer safetychains this acts as a cradle and prevents the trailer from nosediving into the pavement in the event of it falling off the ball.

    good luck...happy fishin'
