  1. My father in law has a self propelled Honda and he does this.

If it's self propelled make it cut the lawn by itself,

Stick a 2x4 in the middle of the yard and tie a length of rope to the side of the mower turn it on and let it go. After every revolution the mower will get closer to the 2x4... when the mower reaches the 2x4 the grass is almost all cut.. ya just need to do some cleaning up.

  3. I left Sturgeon Falls @ 7:00 am Saturday morning with the family

with a few stops an the way made our way to BPS arriving @ 10:15 am..we did good time.

    lures001.jpg

I shopped 'til my heart was content all the while keeping my eyes peeled  for an OFNer... I spent 2.5 hours in there and didn't spot anyone nor was I approached by any.

Final bill of sale was 402.06$.

With my OFC hat in hand,I then made my way to Chuck-E-Cheese's for lunch and games with the kids.. We all had a great time. :clapping:

We then jumped in the car to make our way up to the 400 Market ( I missed the Essa Rd exit.. sorry BrianB)

After a pony ride for Megan at the 400 we made our way inside to buy some home decor stuff and junk.

After walking around in the market for a while .. we ended up sitting down for a break.

A booth caught my eye .. It was a tackle shop.

I walked in and guess what was written on the wall??? :dunno:

    here's a picture.

I really felt like I was being set up for something :ninja:

As I turned around to look for a camera crew..a guy came up to me and said " I read your post and figured you'd be rolling through at anytime

so I just drew up this sign 10 minutes ago"

It was "CHEAP TACKLE" a board member here on OFC and owner of the tackle shop.

I then went back to the car to get the OFC hat and presented it to him.

  5. How an Economic Stimulus package works...

It is a slow day in the small Northern Ontario town of Sturgeon Falls , and streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody is living on credit.

A rich tourist visiting the area drives through town, stops at a local fishing lodge, and lays a $100 bill on the desk saying he wants to inspect the cabins on the Sturgeon River to pick one for the night.

As soon as he walks from cabin to cabin, the lodge owner grabs the bill and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher.

The butcher takes the $100 and runs down the street to retire his debt to the cow farmer.

The cow farmer takes the $100 and heads off to pay his bill to his supplier, the Farmer's Co-op.

The guy at the Farmer's Co-op takes the $100 and runs to pay his debt to the local prostitute.

The prostitute, who has also been facing hard times, has had to offer her "services" on credit.

She rushes to the fishin'lodge on the Sturgeon River and pays off her cabin bill with the lodge owner.

The lodge proprietor then places the $100 back on the counter so the rich traveler will not suspect anything.

At that moment, the traveler comes down the stairs, states that the cabins are not satisfactory, picks up the $100 bill, and leaves town.

No one produced anything. No one earned anything...However, the whole town is now out of debt and now looks to the future with a lot more optimism.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how a stimulus package works.

  8. I once caught a 8.5Lb Walleye on a Berkley Elite fly rod with a 3Lb leader while using a streamer.... I was 16 or so back then .I cleaned it and cooked it.

On Christmas of that year my Sis-in-Law bought me a book called

"Gamefish of North America" and in the back there were all of the

North American records both C&K & C&R and line class/species.

Turns out I had blown away the "Walleye on a fly" record by more than 5 LBS.

I was too little too late.. :wallbash:

  9. a "Bear" is also a Cop... so the Bear could be following a Boar or a Bear... technically a Boar is also a Pig... ;)

so this could mean that the Pig is following the Boar :D

  10. Usually cannot go wrong with a Jig and Minnow... I prefer using a Chartreuse/Orange or White/Chartreuse or Chartreuse/Black 3/8 Jig tipped with a 2"-2.5" Red/Yellow Dace..... Same combo with a trailer hook using a worm should work just as well. :good:

Wally Diver or Wally Minnow work very well while trolled over humps.

Don't forget the pike gear .. ya might wanna go cast some weedbeds. :thumbsup_anim:

    Have Fun!!
