  1. Funny that this thread and such answers has came up.

I came back Toronto on Tuesday.

I was there to escort a "client" of mine (Community Living) to an Orthopedic Surgeon's appointment Dr.Nizar Mahomed, at the Toronto Western Hospital for a consult on a total knee replacement(due to severe arthritis)... His surgery is scheduled for the 23rd of this month... I'll be escorting him again to translate and comfort him, during surgery "patient must be concious" :blahblah1: :blahblah1:

He ended up with a Rx for Synthetic Marijuana THC pills "Marinol" or the option of "Medical Marijuana".

He chose the "MJ" since he's been self medicating for the past 15 years...He's 66.

  2. There's no fish in Nipissing.

What are you complaining about? :dunno: You caught/measured 2... that means that you out fished me 100% and beat me.

But that also means that we got beat by more than 100 teams :wallbash:

If you're not working tomorrow ... I'm going up the river.

  3. As usual I fished the tourney with my wife :clapping: .... Not many to be had this year. Average depth of Cache Bay this year is 2.5'

26 teams out of 224 caught their 6 fish...122 caught 0. and many teams quit early.

We managed 1 fish 24.5"... and a sunburn :wallbash:

I missed 15 or so while using a Johnson's Silver Minnow tipped with a Yellow Twister Tail.... I think that the weedguard on the lure prevented a good hookset..???

    I'll try again next year.

  4. Eh! Black! try hwy 11 North... Like Lk Turcotte and that chain..right by the Tomiko Restaurant.... or even hit up Morrison's pond for some Jumbo's and Splake... how 'bout Marion Lk just north of the 64 turn off..

or you could head to Sturgeon and try the upper river...Lk Tomiko?.. Muskasung in Field... and then there are tons of lakes north of River Valley on Hwy 805 that would suit your needs. All accessible by Canoe and Minivan.

  5. I can totally relate to this guy's story..... {I missed this story somehow} :dunno:

I've had my own Black Bear attack in 1993.. on Mount Revelstoke in B.C.

I still have 4 scratch marks on my :asshat: and a couple of puncture scars on my left calf. :stretcher:

I even took a "Be Bear Aware" course and forgot everything I learned when confronted by the scrawny old sow, nowhere near 600Lbs

    .........I ran :wallbash:

  6. Unless we get 10 straight days of high precipitation ,, I really can't see where the H2O will come from.

The main artery for lake Nipissing, the Sturgeon River is as low as it can get from the mouth of the lake to Capreol On.... where there are usually raging chutes is nothing but a trickle... the Temagami River watershed is the same.

  7. That sucks... :wallbash:

We're just gonna throw a bunch of glowsticks in the firepit and cook smores in the microwave.

I'm kinda wondering..Is it because the bush is tinder dry and lack of precipitation ..or if the MNR imposed this Ban because of the amount of high risk accident prone walking definition of Murphy's Law [ like myself] people are out and about in the boonies and parks this weekend... I wonder if they'll lift it by next weekend... I'm hoping so :worthy:

  8. Instead of using a 2x4 get a Montreal Canadiens Hockey stick ... seems to me and a lot of other people that they aren't using them properly. :glare:

You're on the right track. You can use the 2x4's with screw in eye bolts on either end with ratchet straps to secure the boat :good:

A rope from the bow to the front bumper and one to the rear, she's not gonna move an inch.

#1 Yes I can tow my boat behind it, I asked the OPP and the MTO .. I can legally have a total length of up to 74' if my first trailer is tandem, has brakes and the plates on my truck are "Black #" with commercial insurance and if I were to exceed my GVRW I need a CVOR sticker, log book and an annual safety + I need really big mirrors to see the whole train, completely legal hitch to hitch so long as you follow the rules.

I have it all photocopied and stuffed in an envelope for my own insurance.

    but I won't attempt it.

    #2 I agree that it's hillarious

#3 I just got back from Canadian Tire with 16 Pool Noodles.

#4 Antenna on top rocks .. I get quite a bit of Channels ... CTV..CBC...TVO...TFO...Global...and CH Hamilton...all with good clarity. I actually watched Italo catching some Walleye shortly after bashing my head at 5:15 Sunday morning.

    Randy

    :thumbsup_anim:

  10. :wallbash: Not many fish to report .. few Walleye and a couple Smallmouth...not even pic worthy.

My bow mount Minn Kota caught fire at the circuit board, My boat sprung a big leak ,15 or so gallons worth in 5 hours [fixed].... My motor didn't start while on the lake and I broke the pull cord trying and crushed my pinky finger. <_< ...I got a tow to shore from a buddy..come to find out that my fuel line had a air leak near the primer bulb.

I drove a stinger hook into my finger last night.

All problems are now fixed and the trolling motor is in the trash.

I'll be redeeming myself come the long weekend.

New to us camper goodbye tents!! :thumbsup_anim: ... After owning it for 10 minutes I backed it square into my house.. :wallbash: <----- literally.

I caused a dent to the rear bumper of my trailer and cracked the parging on my foundation.

I slept in it on Saturday night and bashed my head on a cabinet while waking up on Sunday morning.

Here she is...2000 Mallard 29.5 ft ... our new to us "Home away from Home"... We're gonna be Gypsies 21 days at a time. Never to be seen at a campground attached to a screened in porch.

  11. I measured the water levels this morning at the Government Docks here in Sturgeon Falls the Sturgeon River is 48" low.... Cottages on the north shore will not be able to put their rental boats in the water...

places like Glenrock, Dutrisac Cottages, Pakes Lodge, Panorama Camp,

Au Lys Blanc , Cache Bay Tent and Trailer.. and most others docks are surrounded with mud or very little water... It's gonna be terrible for cottagers this Saturday for opener it will be darn near impossible to launch a tub I tells ya.

    DadMe-1.jpg

My earliest memory is at about the age of 2 or 3 fishin' from the dock at our old cottage on Lake Tomiko catchin' Rock Bass and Sunfish..
