  1. Fish like the one in your picture Randy get eaten all the time. Maybe it was something in the way you smoked it because there'd be none left if everyone knew what they taste like. :)

My wife's Granddad smoked her in an Applewood mix and some sort of Maple brine...CRAZY Sweet/Salty it wasn't good at all..

But... on another occasion I put it on a Cedar Plank on the BBQ with some Lemon/Garlic/Dill and was FANTASTIC!!

I used to work at a lodge on the upper French and have cleaned and eaten many o' Muskie... It breaks my heart every time.

  2. I once spent 30 minutes in COLD waist deep Fall water, trying to release a 50" and was unsuccessful :stretcher: , it ended up being smoked table fare and was disgusting.. I was not gonna let her go to waste , try as I might to consume more .. but, about 6Lbs of Muskie Meat ended up in the trash. :wallbash:

  6. “You're excited? You should feel my nipples!”

Your dog sure has a surprised look on his face.

That's because you're looking at his butt.

Uh, then he's certainly not going to enjoy that treat I just fed to him.

You'd better tell the captain we've got to land as soon as we can. This woman has to be gotten to a hospital.

    A hospital? What is it?

It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

  7. I happened to "Google Images" "Huge Muskie"

I came across this picture a few years ago , I darn near fell out of my chair ... I couldn't remember catching this fish ... I showed it to all my family and lifelong friends just a few realized it wasn't me...

I put this up as my "facebook" profile picture... I've had tons of compliments on "my" catch... I've always fessed up and NEVER claimed that I caught it.

    Whaddaya think?

  8. Why wouldn't there be Sturgeon in Simcoe?

People catch Sturgeon by accident in many lakes.

I've seen 60lb Sturgeon come out of Lk. Temagami in 1988.

There could be a good population is Simcoe and no one would know.

Apparently not much is know about the Lake Sturgeon.

  9. I've ran into this once before... I had a Hockey helmet on my son

who was 4 at the time... we got stopped and almost charged by the OPP... the helmet must be DOT approved to be legal.

He said I may as well have used a construction helmet.

I then purchased a XS ATV helmet for my son and found that it wasn't that heavy..

But if you still find that's it's too heavy and are worried of neck injuries due to weight you may use a " Neck Guard" like they wear in hockey for stability.

  10. Thanks Guys!! :thumbsup_anim:

I guess that it would stop the boat from drifting around, opposite to being tied off the end of an anchor cord.... So you would be "stapled" to the bottom....

I could see myself using that for Pike.. but I'll make 'em out of Hardwood dowel.

  11. What is that bar or stick .. beside the outboard?

Looks to be about 5' tall usually on the right hand side , but this example has 'em on both sides.

It might be a stupid question and something I should recognize and or know about , I have no clue?

My inquiring mind wants to know.

    Thanks gang!
