Quebec!! Where you can't turn right on a red light but you can go right through it !! :w00t:

The only province where in order to certify a car you must break off the signal lever , 'cause it isn't used there. :rofl2:

I'm just kidding , we all have those drivers. :wallbash:

  2. On foot Randy, I assure you there is no way to get there by boat.

    On foot ?... unreal!! :stretcher:

You'd almost have to be a skilled 1/2 Billygoat mountaineer/angler to get down there.

What prevents you from getting ther by boat?

  3. my guess salmon, great fish'in hole there if you don't get tossed out.A few locals have access but it's not like years ago when it was no problem fishing there

How did they get down there? On foot? Or by boat?

Say that it were by boat, could you get tossed out ,if so why?

  4. I was in Niagara Falls for a few days this week, and while visiting the falls , I noticed a school 50 or more fish (2x the size of a Seagull) in a small pool near the foot of the falls, I assume that they were a Salmon of somekind... :dunno:

    Can someone educate me please?

    Thanks

  5. Should have tried Percocet(oxys) for a spider. Would have went into treament and switched to Methadone....ended up on welfare, moved into subsidized housing, and had lots of more spiders. Or is that just my clients.

I know exactly what you mean.

sorry no OFC hat to give away this time.... That's unless T.J can get me one before 9:00 tomorrow mornin'

  8. proably easier to transfer him to another chair dockside, put the power chair in the boat, then the 2 of you lift him into the boat and place him in chair. If you tie the side of the boat tightly to the dock, you shouldnt get too much movement. My daughter is a nurse and there are ways of locking your arms in place so you can form a cradle and easily lift very heavy things. Just a thought.

You're on the right track Merc.

I regularly transfer my "clients" from a chair into the boat using this very method..or also a "Pivot Transfer"

The JAY... I wish I were nearby to help you out or show you how.

It's done much easier when the boat is on the trailer just before launching.(depending on the location).

    I'll try to explain.

#1 transfer from W/C to regular chair.

    #2 place W/C in boat

#3 transfer person from chair to seated position on dock legs dangling in the boat

#4 transfer person from dockside onto W/C.

this method works GREAT with two people.

Exact opposite for re entering the chair... slightly more strenuous.

this video might help..or give you an Idea about how to do it.

  9. If I'm using live minnows on a jig for walleye, I put the hook point throuhg the mouth and out the gill slit. Slide the minnow up the shaft of the hook and put the point through the back at the dorsal fin. This helps keep your bait on better for them light biters that are just grabbing your bait by the tail.

Yep. Also helps to prevent line twist and minnow theft.

  10. I think that it's hilarious :rofl2:

  11. (As I'm watching UFC on Spike)

How stupid can ya get?...As if?

    Congratulations!! Art Davie..

    you get the..

    ULTIMATE :asshat: AWARD..

What kind of sport/art/gameshow is that supposed to be?

What's next? Full contact Cash Cab? Figure Skating?

(I looked it up) In Canada, 91% of Kids & Teens watch 30-38 unsupervised hours of T.V. & Internet/ week...

What kind of functioning adults are we gonna have in 15 years if shows like those keep popping up?

As parents we already see these moves and types of fights in school at recess .. something we didn't see 20-30 or so years ago.

I remember watching WWF 20+ years ago and in no way does it compare to these "sports"...no doubt that these guys are well trained and conditioned athletes...but our kids aren't.

@ 5'8" 230Lbs my 13 yr old son isn't allowed to watch this stuff..but does anyway. If he ever tried this on any of his peers he could kill one of them.

    I don't know where I'm going with this :blahblah1: :blahblah1:

    I guess I'm just being a parent....

I rather see my son swing a fishin' rod than a fist..

    Sorry for the rant Gerritt

  12. Good shootin'! OK, now we need to know how AJF fell off the bow...you didn't give it throttle while he was at the bow didja? Also, your best walleye rod...exactly how did it break? :) Expiring minds need to know.

AJF took a dive while stepping from the tailgate of his truck to the bow of his boat, missed his step twirled in the air :ninja: and hit the deck and then the launch. And the rest is OFC history.

Eh! AverageJoeFishing Are you OK this morning? ;)

    winter2010.jpg

As for the rod break..I was snagged ...I pulled a little to hard and snapped my brittle buddy...at the 3rd guide. :wallbash:

I'll get a glass case made up so I can hang her on the wall with the rest of my "Man Cave" stuff. I'll try to find an identical replacement..Which I doubt I will be able to. I'n the meantime it's back to my trusty 6'6" M/L 25 year old Lightnin'.I have a few new rods that I can use , but they're not the same.

New rods just aren't the same as the 'Ol Faithfuls...

Any suggestions for a 6' Medium/Fast very light one piece ?

  13. Yesterday was the "Walleye Closer" on Nipissing and it's triburaries

AJF and I went out for one last kick at the can..

Fishing was kind of slow and the winds were fast... we caught 12+ Walleye and managed to keep 6...

AverageJoeFishing with the 6 'Eyes...shortly before falling from the bow of the boat onto the concrete launch :stretcher: . Y'a know when Lucy takes the football away from Charlie Brown just before he kicks it? And the sound that Charlie makes when he hits the grass?

Well that's what AJF sounded like ....don't worry guys, AJF will be fine , he drinks a lot of milk.

    winter2010039.jpg

And now for my PERSONAL BEST " SMALLEST " Smallie :clapping:

not long after this shot I broke my all-time favorite Walleye rod

    a 20yr old Cabelas SST96 6" one piece ...

  14. Randy, I'm in 100%. I had a few responses via P.M.s. The consensus is that middle - end of Jan would be best with best fishing. Even without the Mallard we could have a blast.

You and I will sit down for a coffee or a beer sometime soon and sort out some details.

    sounds good to me!!!

any more Northerners want to sit down over a few beers/coffee and discuss this?
